I think it's really hard for the people up there today, as there seems to be an expectation (which I originally shared) that it's a bit like Britain's Got Talent and that everyone is going to do a turn. I think the sense of it- the idea of a human statue that keeps changing but keeps occupying the plinth- will become more apparent as the days pass, and there won't be an expectation that they're there to entertain. It's great when someone does something entertaining though.

It must have been pretty unpleasant up there today, it's been intermittently pissing down with rain for most of the day.
