I'm a blondie and really suit red!

Maggie Sottero does a lovely red dress. I tried it on (as it comes in white too but the red one was nearer my size) and it was georgeous. Looked much nicer in red than the white

My daughter originally wanted a red dress and had her heart set on the Hollywood Dreams scarlet one (forget the name now!) However, after trying a couple of them on, she wasn't sure as they made her skin look a bit incipid. She's blonde but like me has exceptionally pale skin and they just didn't seem to 'work' . We found a few shops who had red dresses but they weren't the right shade of red. You'll be suprised how many people think red is burgundy and looked at us like we'd grown two heads when we said "No, RED as in Scarlet red!" Evenutally, she tried on a vanilla and gold dress and fell in love with it straightaway so that was the ONE - Search over LOL! We found a few we liked on this site:-

    Hi,

I wore red on my wedding day. I'm pale skinned with blonde hair. Everyone can wear red, it's the shade and tone of red thats you have to look for to get a red that suits you. I always wanted to wear red so I just phoned around lots of bridal shops to find out if they had red dresses or if they could get them in. Where I eventually got my dress had phoned Veromia for a sample for me to try on.

    Here's the dress I wore:

My friend got married in a red dress 2 years ago, and she looked lovely. She is naturally fair, but had dyed her hair black at that time, I think it can suit both dark and fair people iy really just depends on the individual and if they feel comfortable in red. It's a really striking and daring colour, and it suited my friends personality.

I tried on a red dress in perfection bridal, most bridal shops will stock at least one dress in red usually, heres a pick of the one I tried on. It's a darker shade of red almost wine/burganday:

Ooh, any excuse fror a flash!

Here's what I'll be in (or something very similar):

And the shoes to go with it:

I don't think it makes any difference what colour your hair or skin is. You just have to match the tone of red to your colouring. For reference my BMs will be in silver dress/waistcoat with a red sash/tie respectively.
