Great comedy director.

The world would be a sadder place without Uncle Buck!

He either wrote or directed some of the biggest and funniest films of the 80s and 90s. The breakfast Club, Planes Trains & Automobiles etc etc etc

    Gutted. ?

I wasted some of the best years of my life watching John Hughes movies and I loved every second.

R.I.P, thanks for the good times.

"This is no longer a vacation. It's a quest, a quest for fun. I'm gonna have fun and you're gonna have fun. We're gonna have so much f*cking fun they're gonna need plastic surgeons to remove the smiles from our f*cking faces. We'll be whistling zippity-doo-dah out of our ass holes."

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

How sad. My favourite film is Home Alone, and I was the only one in my house when I was younger who enjoyed Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Sleep well John Hughes ☹️.

That is so sad, I love his films.

It brought a smile to my face when watching one of those spoof films set in a school, which they had named 'John Hughes High'.

I love Ferris Bueller - it has to be one of my favourite films. What a shame. He was only young too.

I think I'll watch Ferris tomorrow after work.
