Royally Pi**ed Off! ETA - Good Vibes needed updated again :-(

quackers, 16 February, 2012 at 17:09 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 12

So annoyed as some of you may know my mum got rushed into the hospital last Friday he bowel it telescoping going inside each other and trying to digest itself, caused by a hernia, so she's in horrific pain, they pumped her full of morphine and then said she'd be ok as she wasn't in pain anymore and discharged her saturday afternoon, told they'd have to operate at some point.

fast forward to today rushed back in again as the pain has been gradually getting worse and worse.

If they had done what they should of instead of just discharging her we wouldn't have this problem.

I know the NHS isn't always great and I'm a student nurse so I'm not daft it just has really pee'd me off and I needed to rant!

Its rubbish that she has had to be rushed in again but I really hope they keep her in this time and get her sorted properly as they cannot leave her like this. Don't let them discharge her - if needs be complain to PALS (or equivalent patient liaison services). The NHS is great in many ways but stuff like this really infuriates me!

Sending lots of positive vibes to you and your mum!XX

Thanks everyone, they have decided to operate this afternoon.

    ETA:

We are not allowed to see her before she goes down, my dad is fretting, so is my Nana, and I've got to be the strong one, but i'm worried too, mum doesn't get on well with anestetic (sp?)
