My wife got a bollocking from a RSPCA inspector for daring to give the cat water over the recent hot period when it was meoowing and emaciated at our door for help for several consecutive days........The RSPCA has just received a bollocking in return from both my daughter and myself......

Same situation, what would you have done?

I have only just read this and I cannot believe the RSPCA!! What stupidity to come out with, of course you're going to give a cat some water or food if you think it needs it. I've even gone to another house with their cat and offered to look after it for them as they were not capable.

I cannot believe the owners just go away and leave it to it's own devices, it makes me so cross. We always ensure that there is someone who can pop in on them, usually MIL who will sometimes stay the night. When we went away for the wedding they had their own holiday as well at a local cattery!!

We get the keys to the new house tomorrow and I suggested to OH that when we take some stuff over tomorrow evening, we move the kittens in. He was really upset at the thought of leaving them alone for 1 night... Bless him.
