Save the date cards?

im getting married 20th october 2012 and not sending them out until christmas so i think it might be a bit early x

We sent ours out last week for a wedding in April next year, but as we are getting married on Easter Saturday I wanted to make people aware, plus we have people coming from France and Ireland so they may want to book flights early.

I think 10 months before is about the right time to do it! ?

Hi we are getting married in April 2013 on a Friday, so we will be sending STDs what with people needing to book a day off work to attend. However, we won't be sending these until May/June next year.

I dont see why, when you know where and when your having your wedding, that you can't send out STD cards there and then. Especially if they have magnets or something on them so people can put them on the fridge and not forget about it or lose them.
