Save the Date *FLASH*

Liverbird, 16 September, 2010 at 17:05 Posted on Planning 0 17

Been playing around in Word this afternoon doing some mock ups for save the dates to send out next year. This is what I've come up with (they're postcard style by the way):

Front

Back

Ignore the blue borders, they won't be there, also still need to sort out the text spacing on the front side and might change the font on the back. They're very informal but then that's the style of wedding we're having....What do you think? Is the wording ok, or likely to offend/confuse our older guests? Should I include the pics or not?

    They're wonderful!!

But ohmigod I think your meeting up story is almost identical to mine!!! (From what I can tell from the bit on the card!)

I'm from the Wirral, met the boy online (not Soccerchat though!! - that would be too uncanny) and when we decided to meet, met him in person for the first time when he picked me up from Platform 7 of Euston Station (as he lives in London). Spooky!

I think that is fantastic, fun, cheeky, and personal. My nan and gran maybe confused by the internet speak, and my very religious nan could take the bottom comment the wrong way, but thats my granparents, I know some people whose granparents are out there surfing t'interweb everyday!

I think they are brilliant and so creative you're doing a great job xx

    Thanks all ?

Mrs N2b - Not that organised, just impatient, lol!

Blonde Viki - That is spooky! Weird how we both remember the platform number too, ha!

Claireyfairy2 - We haven't got any surviving grandparents, so it's really just a few Aunts and Uncles who might be offended and I doubt they actually would be cos they all have a good sense of humour...hopefully we should be ok!

They are absolutely brilliant - I had to sit and read everything! It really gives a good flavour of who you are, and personal touches are always great at weddings imo. One teeny thing (and just because I am a bit of a language freak) - PS stands for Post Script, so you don't need the & sign on the dot between the P and S. ?

That's actually deliberate! It's supposed to be a play on our initials, so it looks like P.S at first but when you take a closer look you notice the '&', if you see what I mean? Bet you won't be the only one to point that out though!
