Do you really need a basque with you dress. the only reason I ask is that most dresses are boned so well that you don't actually need any underwear on, plus it's more comfortable.

I am thinking the some tahdah - I refuse to invest in further underwear!

Yes my dress is boned, not too much tho...however I've tried the dress on in a bridal shop with and without a basque and oh my, what a difference that makes....i look soooo much smaller around my waist.....hence that I'm wanting a basque....need all the help to pull my flab in hahahaha

Have you tried Bravissimo in Glasgow or Carino's in Bothwell?

Keep in mind that you might end up quite warm in your dress and then even warmer with a basque on. There wasn't any way I would have been comfortable with a basque on especially when sitting down for the meal.

Yeh, googled a bit and found bravissimo, been trying to call them as I don't want to drive into Glasgow in mid afternoon traffic and they dont have my size lol.....Carino's? Will google them straight away ...

I wore a basque but my dress wasn't boned, it made me feel so slim.

I bought a plain basque from M&S as my dress wasnt boned but with a full bodice on my dress also, I thought I was going to pass out from the heat so I wasted £30 and went for a £10 strapless bhs bra instead!

That's where my wedding dress came from (not through the back though!) One thing with the full on corset though is that they're quite hefty so it might not sit nicely under your dress - you also have to wear them a good bit before the wedding to break them in (did the asda shopping in mine ?) They do give you a fantabulous shape though.

Well ladies, I'm £48 lighter....went into Bravissiomo today and tried on some basques.....I loved the look of them, I just didnt like them on. So I tried on a couple of strapless bras and found one that fitted me perfectly. They did not have the ivory one in my size, so i bought the black one to wear for my fitting on saturday and they will deliver the ivory one to my house. Im sooo pleased, and two bras for £48 is not bad at all....they actually offered to refund the black one, but im just going to keep it....always use for a black strapless number lol
