Sorry for this, but i just wanted to share my little anniversary story and show my appreciation for the fabulous Mr Panj.
It was our first anniversary on Tuesday and as I am a dozy forgetful mare, I accidentally left H's card at work. We had agreed no presents so I was gutted I had nothing to give H on Tuesday morning.
He gave me my card and then an envelope with a number 1 on the front. I opened it and there were train tickets to London inside!! He had arranged with my boss for me to have the time off work and we had a few hours before the train left! Then he gave me an envelope with a big 2 on it. I opened that and there was a hotel voucher inside, we were spending the night together in the big smoke!!
Off we went, had a lovely trip down on the Pendalino (sp?), checked in to the hotel, unpacked and there was another envelope in the suitcase with a 3 on it! I opened that and there were tickets for the Lion King inside!!! I was bowled over!!
Off we went out and got some lunch, had a wander in the sun, walked down to the river etc and then headed back to change for the evening. There in the room were 3 more envelopes marked 4, 5 & 6.... No. 4 was a voucher telling me we were having a champagne breakfast the following day, No. 5 was tickets for the sightseeing open top bus tour and river cruise and No. 6 was tickets for the London Eye!
Sorry for the overuse of exclamation marks but I cannot tell you how amazed, surprised and happy I was. It was all totally unexpected and we had the best time.
Poor H still hasn't even had his card from me yet!! I am not sure what I ever did to deserve him, but I am such a happy wifey.
