Silly question about shaving legs and showers

Gryfon, 10 February, 2009 at 22:37 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 9

Sorry stupid question and I know I should know but I don't, how do you shave your legs in the shower without missing bits? ? Especially if you wear glasses which means that when you take them off you can't see what you've shaved and it's only afterwards you realise you've missed a bit! I have very fine hairs so unless people get close up you can't really see them but I know they're there ?

Or am I better off buying myself an electric razor and doing it that way so I can see what's happening! I've had years of missing patches and so having to shave with a dry razor and I'm fed up of it.

I run my hand up my leg - if it's smooth, then job done. If it's furry I run the razor over it.

I'm totally blind but I seem to manage OK (when I can be arsed ?). I still use shaving foam if I'm doing them in the shower though - mainly so I can see where I've been!

How would an electric razor help? Am I being fick?

I've tried that, and I can't tell ? I have strangely smooth legs even when they're hairy. Sure it's one of these things that I've been doing wrong for years, but then where do you learn about leg shaving!

BTW I tried one of those wax strips once, one of the most painful, eye watering experiences ever! Was up there with labour pains ?

    Sorry meant to say thanks!

Does the shaving cream not just wash off then?

Can you tell I don't know much on the shaving front ?

I stick my leg out from actually under the shower (normally put it up on the side of the bath) so no, it doesn't. I have to say I've never really thought about it before!

This is one of the more random Hitched conversations I've had in a while ?

I also use shaving foam, but we only have a shower cubicle, no shower over the bath, so I point the shower head at the wall whilst I'm doing them to stop it washing off.

? Thanks for that. It's just one of these bizarre things that for years I've been wet shaving my legs in the shower then cursing as I've missed bits. Was then wondering if there was shaving gel/cream that didn't wash off in the water so I could see where I've been. Especially in the winter when it's blinking cold and 10 mins is the max I want to spend in the shower.

There's a product thats a shower gel and a shaving cream in one, I think it's by Wilkinson Sword, but I'm not sure, it's called Shower and Shave. Maybe that would work?

To be honest i usually just do my best in the shower and then get the bits I've missed by hacking at my leg with a razor when i'm dry.
