Someone talk to me about WW online?

R-A, 26 March, 2009 at 22:51 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 16

So, my story:

Started with a BMI of 29 in April 2007.

Lost 3.5 stone before wedding July 08 using principles of WW - just bought the books off ebay and "weighed in" on here. (The "japonica candlewick" method I like to call it and I am still sooo grateful JC). Was very happy at that weight, BMI 22.5/23 ish (though I could have been more toned).

Since the wedding, I've managed to pile back on a huge 1.5 stone ? - was doing OK until Christmas, since then I've been really stressed with work stuff and I've got back into bad habits - both with food and exercise. That's not an excuse but it's just what's happened.

So I'm wondering if WW online would provide me with the stability and motivation to keep going. I feel like I've got my mojo back (been swimming tonight for the first time in about 10 years) and am determined to get back to my wedding weight. I now have the internet at home (which I didn't before) and could spare the £10 a month I think.

I'm happy with the WW principles and it works for me, it's just a case of whether I pay out for the extra motivation/support/tools.

So: what do people reckon? Is it worth it? Anyone on here use it?

TIA ?

I got to goal using ww online, definitely worth it as far as im concerned, i lost 4.5 stone using it- you have everything you need to follow the plan, the forums are good and the recipes/tracker and recipe builder are ace. i also like the weight loss tracker- its ace to see it go down lol.

Thanks Zoe, I didn't realise you were an online-r originally.

I think I will go for it: the worst that happens is I don't need it, and that would be great! It's a bit of a whack of money up front but then only £10 a month, so that seems reasonable.

<cheeky> you don't have any codes for getting money off registering by any chance? ? <cheeky>

I dont but there may be one in the ww mag, ive just had my new delivery i'll have a look and if there is one i'll let you have it.

i was a wwer online originally, i am the 1st leader to do it online only and then become a leader. it was perfect for me at the time as i was so busy.

Right i have a code for £10 off 3 month plan ( i will only be able to give 1 of these out as i get 1 free mag from my delivery) code is 4-**** so that should save you some off the initial sign up. (you can keep renewing it for 3 monthly iirc and that works out cheaper too but as i get free esource now that may have changed)

Glad I was of some help! I'm the same as you I have put weight on. I'm determined to lose it again with the JC method. Good luck to you

    You certainly were JC!

Have signed up to WW online now using Zoe's code in a bid to just get myself on track again.

Can I ask a question to Zoe or any other WW online users?

I can't seem to save my points.... I think I'm following the instructions (to click on the top right hand corner on "save") but then I can't work out how to choose how many points to save, it's not registering that I have saved any, even though I was under the last 2 days as we're going to a party this eve. I'm probably just being really dumb but if anyone could give me any pointers that'd be fab (feeling a bit scared to ask on the WW boards ?)

    TIA.

It will only let you save max 4 a day, and it wont start saving until youve hit 14 points which is the minimum you should have a day. dont be scared of the forums, the new user board is lovely.

Also, just to add to what zoe said above: the window of opportunity to save your tracker and bank points is small as the tracker 'autosaves' quite quickly after any change. Catch the 'save' button when it is green and a pop up appears, use the drop down menu to bank up to 4 points if you have them available.

    Thanks both.

So I can't save them from days that have passed? I have to do it at the time?

If I need to save for days passed i go to that day and just enter the number of points I used for that day in the bit where it says something like 'already know the points'. Then when I save it will automatically save those points.

    Thanks Zooropa.

Looks like the points tracker is down at the moment anyway (well, mine is) so I'm using the old one which is much easier to work out!
