Something blue...?

Cookie Galore, 10 August, 2009 at 20:58 Posted on Planning 0 14

Having trouble working out what to do for my something blue - I've got my shoes for old (I have a pair of shoes that I love and can't find anything that I like any better that doesn't cost too much), the dress will obviously be new, the borrowed is my late gran's pearls, which I'm borrowing from my mum but I'm stuck on blue.

I don't really want to go down the garter route as I wasn't planning on having one but all I've been able to come up with is asking my florist to incorporate a little blue crystal or charm or something into my bouquet. Anyone had any novel ideas about their something blue when it really doesn't fit in with your colour scheme?

Im painting my toe nails blue.....cause I couldnt come up with anything either.

My garter is black and ivory.

The only other things I could come up with were stickly letters that say "I DO" and you stick them to the bottom of your shoes

    Blue knickers.

Write 'i Love You' in blue pen somewhere on your body where it won't show during the wedding but where your hubbie will find it on your wedding night.

    Hi,

My plan was to sew a charm into my hoop/dress but I didn't have time so went without but anyway I sell these which have been popular.

Where does the 'something blue' thing come from? i bet someone knows!

i have a feeling it's something to do with being the colour of heaven, that's why the virigin mary's usually in blue.

My mum sewed a little heart charm on a piece of blue ribbon to the inside of my dress.
