Stressing!!!!!!!

VeeDubLuv, 22 October, 2012 at 10:20 Posted on Planning 0 10

Ok, is it normal to feel this nervous/stressed/excited with less than 3 weeks to go!!!!!

I'm finding it really hard to sleep as every time I start to drift off my stupid brain starts to think about our big day!!!!!!!

can any one recommend any good relaxation tips to help me to become calm again & to help me sleep?

Also, I am stressing about being a bag of nerves on the day & I am such a softie that I know I will cry so if anyone can help with how to stay calm, that would fab!

im normally a calm rational person but in the last few weeks it has all started to get a bit much!

thank in advance for listening xxxx

    Hey VeeDubLuv!

I have just under 2wks to go and although I feel surprisingly calm and relaxed (I'm normally such a worrier!), I definitely felt like you describe a couple of weeks ago! It helped me to make a list of the final things to sort out and when they need to be sorted by - then you can see that you have more than enough time to get everything done and that should help you relax.

I've been recommended Rescue Remedy and also Lavender oil on a hankie at night to help you relax/sleep but so far i havent felt the need to...maybe its got so close now that i'm in denial that its actually going to happen haha! I'm sure i'll be trying these things out come the weekend with only a week to go, I think i'll struggle to sleep then - dark circles are not a good look!

    Good luck!

Tallulaha I think I have the same feeling, everyone keeps asking if I'm nervous and I'm not which is making me nervous!!

Veedubluv, try having a note pad by your bed and a pen, so you can write it all down, I have had many a sleepless night due to this pesky getting married thing and found this really helped, either that or drink a bottle or 2 of wine before bed, that normally knocks me right out!!

I'm a week behind you, and although it is on my mind a lot all the little things I have left to do, I don't really feel nervous or excited yet - I'm waiting for it all to hit me...

Try and relax, maybe switch off from it all with a nice massage or something that clears your mind for a little while

I was the same as you before my big day, and I used lavendar oils on my pillow to help me drift off.

But don't sorry about the day, I am such an emotional wreck, but during the morning I was so calm, I knew what had to be done when and I focused on that. It was only when I got in the car I realised I was going to my own wedding and the nerves started.

Yes, I cried, but it made the day more special in a way, my family and OH expected it to be honest and everyone knew how much it meant to me. Don't worry about showing your emotion, its the one day you can get away with almost anything!

I'm a 10/11/12 bride too, and I'm at the absolute bricking it stage.

I fall asleep (when I'm lucky enough to actually fall asleep..) worrying about all the things that could go wrong. My guests are now choosing to use this time in my life to stress me out, and I have a list (which I still havent compiled) as long as my arm to tackle.

    Stressed stressed stressed! :-/

Oh and OH is away for work this week and next week so I'm on my tod with the stressing. Agh.
