Suprises for OH on wedding day

Little Madam, 29 June, 2010 at 16:07 Posted on Planning 0 15

Well... me and H2B agreed that we would arrange a suprise for each other on the day.

So far my ideas are:

Hire a ferrari to get my OH to the ceremony - includes photo oppurtunity before hand, driving to the ceremony, posing with the car after the service and having it ferry best man to reception venue, which is not too badly priced - £300.

or...

Pull together a slide show of romantic bits to have playing on one of the empty walls in our reception. Price - projector hire so quiet cheap!

Any other suggestions?

I can't go with the normal cufflink / tie clips etc as he is in the army and wearing uniform which I am told CANNOT BE MESSED WITH. Haha!

I'm not sure that it's his thing. I think he is too much of a tradionalist and likes that only he see's me nearly naked!

In october last year (while my other half was working away) I went away on a trip of a lifetime with my Dad for his wife's 40th bday and we all had professional photos - 7 of us n a group and then me and my sister had some sexier (not nude or anything) photos in the sea and I had some topless, but facing away from the camera to show off a pair of pink frilly knickers he'd brought me with "princess" in diamante's on the back. He didnt like the thought of someone seeing me like that, and the photographer was blatently hitting onto my brother so i don't think that was an issue!

OOH I would be tempted to get the car! Only because my OH is a car freak, but he is organising the cars for our day so I don't think I would be able to de this.

Is he in to cars? If so then that would be good.

I found my Husbands old Piano Tutor from years ago and had him playing through the reception. His face was amazing when he saw who was playing.

Aw spring that is very cute - but not really my other half.. Smiley sad

Mrs Senddon 2b - My other half would be into flash cars (if we could afford them!) and is always going on about his mates fast cars and dragging me round the ones on show in our local shopping centre. I think I may have decided! Smiley smile

Now... I have a choice between 2 ferrari's - no idea whats best - time to call in my brother I think! lol. Smiley winking

Where do you get one of these from?

When I looked into it it was thousands and thousands in deposit.

O the car would be good! Smiley smile I know my OH wouldn appreciate the pics either. He would like something that he could show someone and be proud of! I have got my OH a kilt pin. Hes wearing a kilt at the wedding but is also in a pipe band so will get the use out of the kilt pin again! and will mayeb remind him of the 1st time he wore it! lol. I understand you cant mess with the uniform - but what about undies and socks in a wee wrapped up present, and he might be slightly disappointed and then have the car as well! Smiley smile

Aww thanks - I really like that one making him think I didn't make a huge effort and then seeing that I did really! I have already got a job batch of socks brought - Groom, Best man, Stepdad, Farther of the Bride, Farther of the Groom, Brother of the bride... haha, but he does know I ordered them though as I didn't order him any at first thinking that in his huuuge boots he would need thick socks but he wasn't too impressed and said he could wear then next morning or perhaps with the boots..

I am also going to send him a CD on the morning with some of his fave songs.. I would love to record messages onto it, cos I know it would calm him down but i'm a techno-phobe! So perhaps that could be the de-coy! x

Yep I think so - my brother has said go for the convertible spider porche?! Doesnt mean a lot to me but i'm told it will to H2B! So.. I am going to call them up and put down a deposit I think.

Also decided on the wedding car today and I now know roughly how I want the cake to be (although it's not my decision - H2B is sorting that!)

    I love surprises!

I'm also thought of the car idea, and am going to research into price.

On a gekkier note I'm planning of having a cardboard cut out of Conan (Arnie Schwarzeneger) and Darth Vader for people to have pics with as my H2B is obsessed with both of those films!

Haha i love that - but the thing with my OH is... He is in the army and obsessed by guns / wagons and stuff but his other interests are somewhat limited... I think I have spoilt him enough though - not that he isn't worth it of course! Smiley smile
