Hi guys...

does anyone have any bright ideas on where i could get some different sizes of jars...plastic or glass...whatever...and also maybe scoops..? its for my pic nmix table at the reception! I've got sweets in my colours and candy stripe paper bags so now i need something to put them in and create a little display. Sound dodgy?

If you get in fast, before the season's over, car boot sales are pretty good for these things. You have to have a sharp eye, but they've been my wedding planning Mecca!

Ikea are good, I am just going to collect mine over a period of time from all sorts of things. Think they look nice when they are all different shapes and sizes.

Hi Andrea - my best bet would be ikea as well though some of the big supermarkets like Asda often have stuff like that- Ikea is a sure bet though - never a wasted trip ( thought you can end up with some strange - named furniture instead...)

thank for the link - very inspiring site.

Where abouts are you located as im planning on selling mine, I had a sweet table at our wedding and have no use for the jars any longer. I am in Plymouth if you live near there, you can pick them up if your interested, I havent looked into postage but I would think its fairly expensive. But I can defo look into it if you are interested.

This was ours, im selling most of them apart from 5 as they were my parents, but included in that are the martini glass and the giant brandy glass. I also have bags and 5 scoops.

If you are interested you can email me ********@*****.**.**

We hired a bunch of vases from our florist who charged the bargainous sum of £10 for the whole lot. Also meant we didn't have to worry about selling them on or otherwise getting rid of them later, we just emptied what little was left out of them and left them for the florist to collect the day after. Might be worth asking your florist if they could help you out.

We're also having a candy bar and instead of buying jars etc, we're going to use the jars and tubs the sweets come in! We're going to design our own labels for them too! Here's where we're getting ours from... https://www.sweetsncandy.co.uk/

Haribo do a lot more sweets than i realised and they're all free from artificial colours and flavours too.
