Tea or Coffee?

Rod, 10 August, 2012 at 09:07 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 36

I love a cup of tea, I really do, but this morning I really fancied a coffee. I will normally only drink 'proper' coffee though, not a fan of instant.

H has never drunk hot drinks, but in recent years has become a real coffee lover.

How about you?

A couple of cups of tea a day for me. I might have coffee occasionally but not often as I don't want to become addicted to caffeine.

    Tea hands down for me.

I LOVE the smell of fresh coffee but just not the taste.

I have found that italian coffees always taste like they smell! Hence Nero's is my new fave!

I'm the same as you Rod - I love tea (white, no sugar please).

I do occasionally like a coffee but it has to be proper coffee and preferably a caramel latte or a tia maria floater coffee! Could never drink an instant coffee.

Tea doesn't contain as much as everyone thinks it does. Yes, pound for pound, tea has more caffeine in it than coffee but you get many more cups of tea per pound than you do coffee.

Tea. But only one cup, in the morning. Rarely drink it during the day.

I love the smell of coffee but it tastes vile. We had Nespresso at work which I'm forever making for everyone and sniffing before serving ?

Tea over coffee, any day! Can't beat a nice cuppa!

H doesn't drink any form of hot drinks, except the very occasional hot chocolate if we're out.

Always coffee for me. I don't really get tea, it just tastes a bit 'meh' to me. Maybe I'm making it wrong. I only have one coffee a day though because I don't want manky yellow teeth and I HATE coffee breath.?

During the week and at home I only drink green tea. I changed about 2 years ago and I feel much better for it. If we go out for brunch/breakfast at the weekend I will have a proper coffee as I do still love coffee. Totally gone off regular tea though.

    Tea, all the way.

Though I do like a good coffee every now and then. I don't mind instant at all, though prefer "proper" coffee.

I chop and change all the time. I'm currently on a coffee phase. I was starting to get caffeine withdrawal at weekends as I wasn't drinking as much coffee, so now at work I drink decaf, and at home I have that new Nescafé Azera stuff, it's lovely. Either way, really milky and with a sweetener.

I love tea (white & weak, no sugar).

I don't mind coffee, but the amount of sugar I need in it to make it drinkable (about 4 or 5 spoonfuls) means it isn't worth it.

I don't drink coffee, I don't like it. I do love the smell though.

Tea, I average around one cup a week on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

Not a big hot drink fan really, my mum was convinced by the time I hit my mid-twnties I would be guzzling 10 cups of tea a day like her. My sister does!

Coffee every morning, and when I'm out - has to be proper stuff every time though, I am a coffee snob!

I have a wee cuppa every so often, usually when I don't feel well, I like tea and cake together - good combo!

Tea and buttery toast when you get in after a night out is the best!

Have you never even tried either?!

I can't stand coffee but have a cup of tea every now and again. Milky with 3 sugars, nice and healthy.

    Both.

Love a nice latte in the morning (not everyday though, I limit it to two a week).

    Mainly tea though, I reckon I drink 5 cups a day ?

I like both. I have a coffee in the morning, I'm loving the kenco milicano stuff at the moment its as close to "proper coffee" as you can get without faffing about with the caffetiere etc, I do prefer proper stuff though. The coffee in Mexico is amazing! Mmm. I like tea of a weekend with my bacon butty. Also when I'm feeling poorly a nice cuppa soothes me. My Dad makes a lovely brew. Hot chocolate is arare treat. Usually Christmas eve.
