If you haven't already planned to go to Aberystwyth you absolutely must (although I suppose you have as its part of your border area!). I went to Uni there and my OH lived there on and off for 7 years and we absolutely love it. I'm a bit biased as we got engaged there last summer (at the top of Consitution Hill) and are going back this weekend to celebrate!!
There's the steam railway that goes from Aber to Devil's Bridge which has some amazing views, and along the coast from Aber to Cardigan has some lovely beaches
We went to Cornwall for our pseudo-moon (Nursie - I know Devon pretty well, the outlaws live there so let me know if you need any info). It was the perfect low key break we needed.
We're off to New Zealand, Fiji, Cook Islands and Bora Bora bext year though, woooooooooooooooo!
B2B wants to go to Newport Beach, as she went there frequently as a child. I went on the Vale of Rheidol Railway up to Devil's Bridge when I was 14, remember it well, hot summer's day so we were in shorts and t-shirts, it got progressively colder as we went up, and were so cold when we reached the top we jumped straight back on and went on the next train about 10 minutes later!
It is absolutely perfect. It really was everything we hoped it would be and more. We fully intend to return at some point, as I was totally converted. I usually only like beach holidays, but this really was amazing. Feel free to drop me a message if you have any questions.
Not booked it yet but thinking of doing Route 1 coast road from LA to San Fran in an old mustang then a week in Hawaii.
Going to the sister hotel El Dorado Royale (next to seaside appts) in 2 weeks so will let you hitchers going there know what its like when we get back.
We're nabbing the family apartments in Auckland and in Nelson but we've not decided on the other parts yet. That's our October job! Husband is looking into plane hire at the moment so he can fly me around Abel Tasman National Park. Last time he flew there he had a pod of dolphins chasing the plane's shadow! Hoping to do some canoeing around their too.
It was absolutely amazing - going to do a bit of a mini-honeymoon report when I'm done on my wedding report as it was just so fab - looks exactly like the pictures, clean, food is top notch, just fab fab fab.
I have literally thousands of pics - just posted some in the "Mexico v Hawaii" post on here.
We are going to DisneyWorld in Florida (though he doesn't know it yet!! I have kept it a secret for more than 2 months and I'm so proud - terrible with secrets from OH - going to find a fab way to break it to him).
We're staying at the Dolphin Hotel in a king suite:
And I have decided that because of this we need wedding ears!!
I think I might be a little *too* excited about this
We're going to Mauritius for 7 nights and then South Africa for 14 nights (3 nights on safari and then driving along garden route and stopping off along the way, ending in Cape Town). I can't wait.
Sounds like lovely honeymoons everyone is going on x
We're spending 7 nights on a Kenyan safari then 7 nights at an all inclusive on the Mombasa Coast where we have our own personal chef to cook us dinner in our suite! I'm so excited!! Don't know how we've lucked out with the chef but it's made my year!
Yay! I'm so jealous, I love Aber and miss it every day! We would love to still live there but OH has to be in London for his work.. but the second we win the lottery (or most likely we will retire first!), we're so living there!
going to watch dirty dancing and staying at the jury's inn- romantic its not- but its a weekend away = all your destinations is making me very jealous *sigh*
