The futuristic one scares me a bit!

Bring back the 80's with perms, shell suits and big shoulder pads

I think vintage will be around for a while, it seems to be really popular.

Agree with the tea length dresses too, they seem to be becoming more and more popular.

Saw a midsummer nights dream wedding and it was gorgeous!! Lots of emerald shade, jewel tones, butterflies, flowers, rustic touches. Very nice!!

I think that the 70s will make a comeback with big floppy hats, heavy eyeliner and lots of sunflowers!

Following on from vintage and garden party themes, I think lots if weddings will be more informal.

Including things like afternoon tea instead if canapés, dessert and sweetie buffets instead if puddings, and BBQs instead of sit down meals. I think many couples are staring to focus on having what they enjoy rather than sticking to traditional 'rules' and I love to see it!

I agree ducky i have to say i do sort of regret having a full 3 course sit down on our wedding day as it took too much time out of the day. if we had of had a more informal vintage afternoon tea type thing then we would have been able to chat more etc...

id recommend the bbq, afternoon tea type things to anyone now!

i think were starting to see a lot of new colours now. the last 3 years most of our customers had burgundy or purple and got sooooo boring to do after a while but now were seeing yellows, pale greens, dusky pinks plus navy blues, oranges all sorts i love that everyone is trying to be individual these days!

I agree with DB too - more informality and less having to do things you don't want to do.

We are having an afternoon tea & garden games then a sit down but at about 6pm. That way guests can enjoy the lovely weather that we will ? have. We've several people travelling who won't stay over so they can then leave after the meal. We were going to consider a BBQ but the owner of the venue had one that went astray and nearly set the barn alight plus the original barn burnt down a few years ago so we decided against it.

Until I started planning I had no idea that weddings were themed. I have always known what colour scheme I wanted and what kind of dress. Fashions have never really appealed to me, if I like it then I like it, regardless of its popularity at the time.

I think maybe there will be more medieval styles like this one.

Perhaps due to the popularity of Game of Thrones? ?

That dress is beautiful, but I suppose you'll need the figure for it.

I think 'less is more' thing might make an appearance!
