The Weekly Good / Bad Thread...Whooooooohaaaaaaa!

GOOD: after yesterdays torrential weather, where I thought I might need a boat instead of a car, the sun is shining and theres blooooooooo skies.

GOOD: this means I can start to paint my wendy house (should really start calling it my office now)

BAD; my ole boss hasnt replied to any of my emails and im worried hes taken a strop coz I've chosen a job opportunity over helping him out....

BAD: I'm going to have to spend some time swotting up on teenagers in the classroom, again!

GOOD: I'm going to a wedding reception tomorrow

Tahdah - will you take some photo's of Sara in her amazing dress and flash them if she's OK with it?

Good - I'm getting married in 7 days ?

Good - seamstress woman is a proper professional and has suggested doing something to my dress to make it look a little offbeat, going for a fitting today and can't wait to see it.

Good - Starting my new job on Monday and have done all the prep reading for it so I am firmly up to date on the fascinating Every Disabled Child Matters mandate.

Bad - AF is on her way, just hope arrives before next week.

Bad - I won't be able to hitch much next week because of my new job and wedding ☹️ will miss it (sad or what?) but will definitely find time to read my good luck thread.

Bad: I was woken up at 3.45am this morning by OH leaving for his stag do

Good: OH should have a great time on stag do (20 of them going to Berlin for the weekend!)

Good: It's Friday and I have lots of lovely plans to catch up with lovely people this weekend

Good: I get to pick up my dress on Monday ?

Bad: Having frequent panics about how much I have left to do before the wedding

Good: Picked up our wedding rings yesterday ?

GOOD: Its Friday! Hurrah! ?

GOOD: We have out first free weekend in ages, so we're going to aim to do something nice as a couple that ISN'T wedding related (before the onslaught REALLY begins!)

GOOD: Bridesmaids dresses have finally come in!

BAD: I'm completely broke until 27th!

BAD: I haven't been to the gym all week, and have rediscovered my love for crisps and chocolate! Eeek!

Ahh, lots of weddings this weekend! Have fun!!

Good: My three bridesmaids, mum and dad are coming over this weekend to go bridesmaid dress shopping and show them the venue!!

Good: Steve is actually off work at the weekend (he's a paramedic...no weekends) so he can come too!

Good: We bought our wedding rings and flowers this week!

Bad: Have to run 6 miles today (and its raining)

Bad: Have to run FIFTEEN miles on Sunday!!

Bad: Writing a paper for work that is boring me to death!!

BAD: I didn't get the job I had an interview for yesterday which means I'll probably have to get a job elsewhere after being at the current place for 5 years. They have a recruitment freeze on now.

GOOD: Having a girly night with one of my BMs tonight

BAD: OH is off on his stag do in a bit and I just know he will smell like a tramp's jock strap when he gets home

GOOD: I get to watch LOADS of girly things this weekend and spend time with Mummy Spangles tomorrah

GOOD: My wedding shoes are FINALLY ready!

BAD: Veil and necklace still aren't ready

Thanks Tee - absolutely gutted as there are no more jobs being advertised for 2 years at least unless someone leaves. I'm winning the lottery on Saturday anyway so I won't need a job! x

Good - My friend is getting married in Devon tomorrow

Good - I'm having a half day today so I can get ready to leave as soon as OH is back from work

Bad- Job is really busy and there are just not enought hours in the day

Bad - venue have just called to say that they have lost my deposit (long story but they moved buildings and didn't tell me)

Mmm can't think of anything else at the moment

BAD - I'm not very well and Mr CB is off on a friend's stag do this weekend so no one to look after mopey me.

BAD - It's our anniversary on Sunday and he won't be here.

GOOD - I've bought him a super anniversary present and it's hidden away in his bag with instructions not to open until Sunday!

GOOD - I'm having friends over for an AWESOME dinner party tomorrow night, even if I do say so myself!

BAD - I can't drink over the next too weeks so will be sober at my own dinner party where I'm providing champagne, G&T, wine, port and after dinner spirits. Waaaahhh.

GOOD - at least I won't have a hangover!

BAD - am proper skint due to a *** up with my next lot of dividends and it's unlikely to be resolved before I go away next week. Boo.

GOOD - partly in view of said *** up, I've decided to have an impromptu day off.

For those who are getting married/going to a wedding this weekend - hope they are fab! To everyone else - hope you have a really good weekend!

GOOD: Going up to Wakefield this weekend to see parents/see my nephew who's birthday it is/attend a friend's engagement party/see my uncle - I try cramming in as much as I can when I go back home!!!

BAD: Yet another weekend when me and OH cant spend any proper time together ☹️

GOOD: Moved into my own office yesterday so feeling very important, although not doing any work and constantly checking Hitched!

Good - I'm not at work today (This is my 3rd day off in a row).

Bad - The weather doesn't look brilliant.

Good - We are going to the Ice cream farm later; me, H2b, my 4 yr old Niece, FMIL, FBIL and 90 yr old Grandma!

Bad - Meant to be on a diet and will inevitably stuff myself with icecream.

Good - My Niece is staying over for a sleepover, I have a feeling she will make my H2B sleep in the spare room so she can sleep in our bed lol. I think he's dreading it, she is a complete Mini me and he says I'm bratty enough

Bad - I broke a nail opening the curtains this morning so now have nice long nails.. Except one

Good - Get to see OH tomorrow. Not seen him since Monday.

Good - Found a venue we both love, and can easily afford.

Good - As we've found a possible venue, I am feeling very excited about the wedding again.

Bad - Have to wait a few weeks until we can go and see the venue.

Bad - Really want to talk to my mum about wedding plans, but can't.

Bad - The weather is awful, so I can't take my son out. He's currently watching a DVD, but that will only keep him entertained for so long.

Good - Its Friday and my 2 year old nephew will be at home waiting for me

Bad - Oh is working till 9.30 all weekend so i'll hardly see him and he has the car so cant really go out anywhere

Good: It's still the summer hols so i've got plenty of planning time (although i'm into the fourth week off and don't know where the time has gone).

Good: Parents and sister are coming over 2mo, first time i've seen them since getting back from cornwall engaged!! So lots of wedding stuff to discuss.

Bad: Having to tidy up the house. I'm afraid it's been a bit neglected since I registered on here a couple of weeks ago and the clean-up fairies have done nothing at all to help! lol

Bad: It's raining ☹️

Bad: All i want to eat is chocolate, but i've at least another stone to lose so can't [:'(]

Good - I have discovered I like Cosmopolitains

Bad - I have a terrible head after over indulging at my engagement party last night

Good - I have nothing planned this weekend so I can just chill out and take things as they come

Bad - the damp-proofing is scheduled to start on my house on Monday for 3 days - noise and dust ahoy!

Good - the house will be nicer when the damp is gone

Good - my boss has gone on holiday for 2 weeks

Good - the new issue of WI Magazine is out so I can indulge my need for pretty pictures

Bad - the above means I'm probably not going to get much work done this afternoon

Good-Last day at work this week...on annual leave next week!

Bad- The string quartet i ahve fallen in love with is waaaay out of my price range!

Good- Booked the Venue and i am WELL pleased!

Bad- Just ate fish and chips for lunch...diet out the window AGAIN!

Good- Thanks to Blonde Viki's tip i'm going to be reading the new edition of WI on the journey home this evening!

GOOD - My post box was delivered this morning so will be decoratring that tonight

GOOD - I am going to win the euromillions lottery tonight!!

Good: I've finally taken a constructive decision to find another job! (see OT)

Good: It's the weekend!

Good: Friend's er barbie tomorrow (am thinking it might be more of a dinner..) and also hubby's BM's birthday drinks in the evening.

Good: VOG confirmed they'd got my extra payment once I emailed to check, so now have a diary reminder in for 5 weeks after.

Bad: Still got lots of post-wedding stuff to do and need to jolly hubby into it.

Bad: I think the post-wedding blues have hit me.

Good: Looking forward to fabulous hen day tomorrow for one of my best friends

Bad: CBM has put together a scrapbook for said hen with input (notes and photos) from all friends but only decided to do this last weekend and as I was on holiday I missed contributing anything (Have asked her to bring to hen day though so hopefully can add something)

Good: H2B will have baby S for the whole day and night while I'm out

Bad: I will be paying him back for that for about the next two months

Good: Venue now booked and deposit paid - hello wedding planning !

Have a fab time at SC's wedding, to those who are going ?

Good - pay day

Good - not back in the office until Wednesday next week

Bad - OH not back until about 9.30 tonight
