(it was probably March!!) Since I go to Midnight Mass which starts at 11.30pm I always feel that it all begins the day before!

I wish I could get childishly excited. What's your secret?

True! I go to midnight mass too - but then that means I end up even more excited and wide awake at when we get home at 1am!

I heard my mum and aunt discussing the other day how "it's the children who make the whole family so excited" erm - the children being 30,27,26 and 23. Right.... although my 27 year old brother is more excited than I've ever seen a child before!

I'm not excited yet. I think I'll be more so when I finish all my Christmas orders by this weekend. My treat when I'm done will be putting the tree up on Sunday.

I'd rate my current levels of excitement at 'meh'.

Some shopping done, no tree yet, no pigs in blankets consumed, 5 chocolate oranges purchased, half a bottle of sherry drunk, no cards written. Hmmmmm.

Last weekend, when H was away, I bought a pack of frozen pigs in blankets, cooked them in batches and ate them ALL before he got home. ?

I haven't got any decorations up, apart from a poinsettia, so I'm not very excited. H insists we don't need any because we're going away for Christmas, but we're having a drinks party here on Friday and then probably a New Year party. Tempted to go and buy a tree today while he's out at work, and decorate it for when he gets back - good idea or not?

Helenia - Go for it, even if it's a small tree, everyone has got to have one! Also loving your work on the pigs in blankets.

I can't decide whether I'm excited or not. I've still got a few presents left to get so I think maybe that is stopping me being excited.

Mulled wine and mince pies do it for me!

Also I've only ever had 3 Christmas trees before when I was a student as we never had one growing up, so I'm currently at the Christmas excitement level of a 4 year old.

I still haven't bought any Christmas presents except for my Hiched SS. I may change back to my Bah Humbug avatar otherwise I'll dissolve into a panic.

Blummin eck, were has the time gone?

Gotta finish off shopping on Friday.

I think I will be properly excited on Christmas Eve itself, while counting down the minutes til I finish work!
