unconventional wedding shoes**flash**

Vintage84, 9 March, 2012 at 22:09 Posted on Planning 0 20

I want to make sure my wedding shoes can be worn again and for that reason I don't really want white/ivory or satin so....what do we think of these?

OR these ones....all though I think they might be a bit too patriotic but I like the polka dots (I have polka dots in the lace on my dress)

Oooooo are these Irregular Choice? I'm hoping to wear them for my wedding ? I'd go with the first pair, just because although the second pair are lovely, you're right about them being a bit patriotic!

Yes! I love their shoes but I've never treated myself to a pair! I'd really love a pair with polka dot in the design, do you know if they bring many new designs out very often? I love the second ones but I keep thinking "Geri Halliwell and that Union Jack dress"....not very wedding-y!!

If you were marrying in June 2012 I would soooooo go for the Jubilee union jack pair. But by 2013 they will be 'so last year, dahhhhrling.'

I pick the first ones too!

Not sure how often they bring new designs out, but I know that Schuh sell exclusive I.C. designs. I bought a pair for my 18th Birthday, absolutely gorgeous shoes, not the most comfortable shoes in the world though! I would suggest maybe buying a back-up pair for later in the day in case you cripple yourself! I know what you mean about the polka dots, I have so many polka dot shoes and dresses! You never know, they might have some different ones out soon ?

I love the first pair ... I currently have them saved on my 'watch list' on ebay as I am undecided whether to have them or a green polka dot pair.

I have order the polka dot ones (included a flash ... I appreciate they are not to everyone's taste but my BM dresses are Jade green and I like the idea that you will just see the green spots peeking through the bottom of my dress).

If they don't look right I will go for the ones above ... you can never have too many shoes!!!! I also wanted something I would wear again.

I have just discovered Irregular Choice shoes and can't stop searching for new styles!

@Smazzy if I try them on and they're not comfy then I'll probably try to find something else. I'm really lucky, there's a fantastic independant shoe shop in my town and they stock a wide variety of "alternative" shoes...which I love!!

I think the second pair would look gorgeous with a pair of skinny fade jeans aswell as a wedding dress. I just don't want them to cripple me!! ?

I have to say these are not my taste at all - but I do prefer the second pair. Cute link to the Royal Wedding as you're going to be a lovely April bride just like Kate!

Adore the second pair! They will really stand out on the day - gorgeous! I've seen a trend at the moment for bright coloured shoes - my girls bring them to bridal shoots, and I LOVE them!

Gorgeous! I love IC, and I love the Patty collection. My MoH is wearing black ICs with her BM dress, and then changing into the first pair of Patty's you've linked for the evening. I'm wearing red 'Royal Marriage' ICs with my wedding dress, and then changing into the black union jack Pattys with my 'going away' outfit (just an excuse to buy another pair!)

MoH's hubby bought her a matching clutch bag to go with the top pair you've linked, which could be handy for all you emergency bridal needs ?

Like the first pair. Reckon they would look good with cut down jeans in the summer. I am also steering away from conventional wedding shoes as think they cost a lot to wear for one day. Want some I know I will wear again.

I love the first! BUT can I just check whether you've have IC shoes before?! In my experience (and some friends) they take a while to break in and can sometimes rip your feet to shreds the first few wears, so make sure you wear them around the house a lot first just incase!

Lady L, no I've never owned a pair but they're stocked in a local shoe shop so if they do fit then I can buy a pair & I've got loads of time to wear them in!! : )
