I read this too but then it was in The Daily Shmail so I'm hoping it was a load of rubbish! I'm not asking for boiling weather but just to be mild and dry would be enough ?

They really cant predict that far in advance, only 'suggest'.....for instance today they have said that its going to be cold and downpours all day here...its been sunny and dry and warm since 10am!!!

    I wouldnt worry ?

I'm 11th June - I read apparently the start of the month is going to be quite warm, but getting unsettled towards the mid to the end of the month. I'm trying not to worry about the weather as it is a long standing joke in our family that wherever me and H2B go it rains - so rain wouldn't surprise me! however I'm also a great believer in sods law - therfore I have bout some wedding umbrellas - I think this will trick the weather and it will be sunny and I won't need them - if I didn't buy the brollies then it would rain.

I've also been thinking about maybe getting a bolero to wear with my dress - it still seems very cold out and I am a cold person, but if its a dry day I know I'll want to sit outside - has anyone else got something to wear over their dress in the evening - sorry to hijack!

1st June will be fine, as will 4th June. I know this because it's my birthday and my birthday BBQ!

    *as you were*

I drove myself a bit mad wondering about the weather for my wedding last year, I neednt have bothered it was glorious in spite of the forecast suggesting otherwise. It is pointless telling you lot not to worry, it's just human nature that you hope for a lovely day but it won't matter, honest! That said please let the 23rd June be nice, I am bridesmaid! ?

I did see there were quite high odds on the jubilee weekend (wedding weekend) being a washout!

I hope that what quite often happens doesn't happen. I am getting married in Leeds but live in London so will hate it if it is warm and sunny in London and miserable in Leeds.

Having said that there is nothing we can do and one of the advantages of getting married in June is the time it is light for surely it can't rain all day - can it?!

We got married on 4th June last year - hot and sunny and windy too. The next day was cold and grey and rainy.

Can't guess, can't change it, stop worrying and enjoy your day!

Me too - but I'm keeping my fingers crossed tight for sunshine on the day, even if it's just for the length of the ceremony!

Hey Country Flower, I've bought shrug type things from coast for my bridesmaids and was going to get myself something like this

    http://www.coast-stores.com/FELICITY-BOLERO/Wraps/coast/fcp-product/7766387503

Our wedding is in July in Co. Antrim so it's going to be pretty cold in the evening no matter what. I reckon some sort of covering is a good idea - you never know you might not need it! trick the weaather!

It was meant to rain on my hen weekend but we got cracking sunshine both days - I didn't even wear a jacket out. I am taking that as a good omen...

Other than that, I'm getting married in the peak district, that will override the fact it's july and it is likely to rain at some point in the day!
