Wedding Dress Prices

sc2347, 26 August, 2011 at 16:25 Posted on Planning 0 3

Hi All,

This might be a silly question but do all bridal shops charge the same price for a dress? I thought a dress would cost the same regardless of where it was bought from (new one - not a sample one) but was reading somewhere that one girl had got hers for 650, another for 750 and someone else had paid £1000 somewhere! So if you find a dress you like - do you then have to shop around for the best price?!

Appreciate any advice on this! ?

? Shop around! The first place I tried my dress on was selling it for £1300.

The place I bought it from was charging £1100 plus 20% off so got it for under £1k saving over £300. Bargain!!

And don't believe a shop if they tell you they sell lower than any other shop. One dress I was considering was £800 in one shop and when I went to another shop they were selling it for £699. Couldn't believe it!
