Wedding preparation help

Chippet, 2 June, 2013 at 17:17 Posted on Planning 0 8

Hi

One of my good friends has asked if I'm gonna need any help getting things ready in the lead up to the wedding. What might I need help with? I've just picked my dress, I only went with my mum cos I didn't want anyone else to see it, I'm gonna be doing my own invites, but I've already designed them and they'll just need printed, cut and enveloped; which me and my fiancé will do.

What other help am I likely to need? Am I being thick, or a bit deluded if I think it's gonna be easy enough to do all myself? (Obviously mum and fiancé too)

Thanks!!

A lot of people doing their own decor and/or food end up with lots of things left to do in the run up to the wedding and my guess that would be what she means.

People have also asked me this question, to which I've replied..'Thanks, ill let you know if I do' that way you won't hurt their feelings by saying no, then it's totally up to you if you do want their help...no matter how small!

I've got my cousin helping me with pew ends, my best friend helping decorate the reception venue and my aunties helping with a small amount of food. It's not too much where I feel like its intruding on the 'bride' experience but enough so that they feel like they helped on a very important day in my life.

If I feel later on that I'm gunna need help with anything else, at least I know that they're there for me which sometimes is help enough Smiley smile
