I wasn't fussed about diamonds on my wedding ring, but I wanted something a little snazzier than just a plain band, so I'm having this:

OH has ordered his ring from Smooch - we were pretty impressed with the service. He didn't have the patience to go round lots of shops. I got mine from my local jewellers.

Mines got diamonds in, tbh im not sure if its classed as a wedding ring or eternity ring, i dont think it matters if you like it!

We 'met' a jewellery designer and maker at a wedding fayre who will make whatever you want in whataver metal with whatever stones you want and try and adapt it to any budget too! We really liked him as he was down to earth and wasn't an "in your face" salesman IYSYIM.

So we have been around a few shops to try on rings and found designs we like and will ask him to make something similar for us. He does work for a lot of fine jewellery companies and high street jewellers too so he works out very good value as it cuts out the middle man too.

It fits around my wedding ring but still looks good if worn alone. I went for diamonds too which I gues technically is an eternity ring but I think you should have whatever you like!
