I got mine from Debenhams - its a Ted Baker set, its like a half corset and cute frenchies.. They have some real nice stuff.

I think I know which wonderbra you are talking about - I have this at home just incase I lose my "assets" after dieting lol!!! x

I know loads of peeps rave about the wonderbra, but I tried it on and found it really uncomfortable. I am going to get the ultimo strapless bra I think, it's not as pretty as the wonderbra but I find them really comfortable( already have a black one) Can you get to a Debenhams between now and your fitting as they stock most of the regular brands?

Defo try the ultimo too then for a comparison to the wonderbra.

Absolutely agree with Pixee, I tried the wonderbra on and it felt really uncomfortable. I much preferred the Ultimo strapless bra. Debenhams will be your best bet, the Ted Baker stuff is lovely too.

ETA- You could always order a few online as Debs are doing free delivery at the mo, plus another sale where the wonderbra is only £24.

Hey all, sorry for a bit of a threat hijack.

I have a dress that is boned and although it zips rather than ties ios definitely corsetted and should be fitted tight by the time I have it altered. I had assumed that I wouldn't need a bra underit - I tried it without one in the shop.

Are you ladies with strapless bras in less structured frocks?

OH was all excited at the idea that I may actually buy a fancy matching set of undies for the day, but dashed his hopes when I said I would only need pants.... he has vetoed primark pants tho! ;o)

My dress isn't fully structured, but does have a bit of in built corestry ( probably doesn't make any sense!). Mainly just a small bit of boning and cups sewn into the dress. I am therefore not yet sure if i'll wear my bra, it really depends on how my first fitting goes.

My dress was boned and with an internal corset - I wore the Wonderbra Ultimate - yes it was uncomfortable the first time I wore it as the band comes down much further than most bras. But I persevered and it hasn't softened up a lot and I would now not wear another strapless bra. It is so supportive and really doesn't move.

    Oh and big pants! ?

ooo I couldn't be doing with suspenders! am loving the idea of having enough dress to not have to worry about tights!! I will have to find some fancy pants tho!

I suppose I should maybe have the first fitting early enough to have time to find one if need be then... I would just imagine if I am going to be in the dress 13 or 14 hours I won't want boning and an underwire!!

I work in Debenhams as a bra fitter and they have quite a good range. I would reccommend getting fitted while you are at it as it makes such a difference!

I got my original wedding bra in Debenhams (and found the fitting service very helpful!) but I was in La Senza last week and they had a beautiful ivory silk strapless bra reduced from £30 to £10! I snapped it up along with a matching pair of knickers for £2. The original bra is white cotton so I'm so pleased to have found something a bit more fancy!
