    A levels were: A - English Lit, A - Classical Civilisation, B- French.

Studied Classical Civilisation (BA Hons) at Warwick and got a 2:1 (narrowly missed a 1st dammit) then did a PGCE Primary Ed to become a Primary Teacher which was just pass or fail. I passed!

I did Classics (C), English Lit/Lang (C) and Media Studies (C). I also toyed with Philosophy and got a U - maybe because I enjoyed reading the books, but didn't like attending the lessons!

I went on to do English Language and Literary Studies and got a 2:2, then fell into retail management as I changed my mind about teaching.

A Levels were English (A) Classical Civilisation (B) and a whole host of different secretarial qualifications (business studies etc.) which I got a distinction in...

This was all wasted as I didn't go to university. Instead I moved out of home when I was 18, got a job and never looked back...

oooh, I don't meet many people who have done Clas Civ! I loved it. I only did it because I couldn't think of a 3rd A Level I wanted to do and I it gave me more free sessions in my timetable! So glad i did though, seeing it ended up being my degree.

This is where it all went wrong for me. I just couldn't get used to the fact that the teachers were now not fussed whether you went to your class or not so I spent most of my time playing cards in the common room. I managed to scrape two C's for A/S and that was purely down to my exams not my coursework. I never got round to my A2s. I went on to uni but dropped out, then went to college on an accountancy apprenticeship and also dropped out. I just get bored too easy.

    A levels: English Lit. C, Law C, Sociology D.

BA Communication Studies & English 2:1

BSc Nursing - distinction (did this one in Canada, they don't do 2:1, 2:2 etc.)

I definitely got brainier as I got older!

My A levels were Maths (B), Chemistry (A), Physics (C) and Music (C).

I then went to University of Nottingham and somehow got a 2:1 in Maths with Statistics (was very very close). I went on to do accounting for a job, and eventually got my ACCA qualification.

As with my GCSEs, I didn't really do much work at all <lazy> (although I was working 45+ hrs a week too! I did Chemistry (B), Biology (C), Physics (C) and French (C).

I went on to uni (Derby - avoid like the plague!) and did a BSc Hons in Forensic Science and Analytical Chemistry and got a 2:2, which was regraded to a 2:1 as it was the year they fluffed up all the exam results!

I also have a couple of NVQs in I don't remember what that I've picked up through work.

Predicted 3 As at A level but though I got them in French and Spanish, somehow the entire History group dropped two grades from predicted and I got a C. They appealed apparently but I never heard anything back so I assume still stands.

Made results day a bit hairy as I needed ABB to go to Newcastle (though I was OK for my insurance offer). My Head of Sixth Form contacted them to put my case as I still had the same points value and they said they'd make a decision in a few days, so I had to call them a few days later to see if I'd got in. They did still let me go, and I got a BA in Law with French, 2:1.

Now I'm a CIMA qualified accountant.

    A levels, not so good!

2 C's in history and psychology

    1 D in computing

    1 A/S level in Accounting

I am currently part qualified ACCA (just finished level 2 last year) but currently have no plans to fully qualify as it's taken me 7 years on and off to get this far! Plus, I'm at the highest level I can get to in my current role and have no plans to move jobs but plans to have children soon instead. Maybe in a few years I will pick it up again.

Very similar to Roobarb I did Scottish Highers - got As in Maths, English, French and Music and a B in History. Left school at 16 and went straight to uni to do a batchelor of laws (LLB) followed by a Postgrad diploma in legal practice. Two years on-the-job training contract after that.

I did A level English (A), Theatre Studies (A) Music Technology (A) and Law (B)

I got a place at Cambridge but with deferred entry, so i spent about 7 months working in a madhouse recording and computer graphic video studio in London and organised club nights and "raves" (showing my age!) then went home to detox, then did about 1/3 of a secretarial course (in london again) which i hated and dropped out of (in quite a cool way - i woke up got dressed and instead of going into college, went to barbados on a near-total whim and called in sick, and never went back!) Then i went home again for a few more weeks, and then read English & Drama at Cambridge for 4 yrs.... and then went back into the music industry for 6 yrs... then got a teaching job, a home, a husband and a child.

I'm in Scotland too, so Highers for me. An A in Spanish and B's in English, French and Accounting. Failed Maths! Went to uni to study Business and got a 2:2 and have barely used it since!

I did AS Sports Studies (B) and then A2 Law (A) Psychology (A) and Maths (B).

Went to Leicester Uni to do LLB Law and got a 2:1

Then I did the Bar Vocational Course in London and got a 'Very Competent', then changed my mind and decided to qualify as a solicitor instead of a barrister!

I forgot about General Studies! I got an A in it (I think!). It did annoy me that they made everyone do that A-Level. Although it did get my OH into Leicester Uni (without it he wouldnt have had good enough grades) so if he hadnt have been made to it do we would never have met! I do, in fact, owe a lot to General Studies! ?

They did at my school too, although I managed to get out of it by doing 4 other A levels instead of the usual 3 that everyone else was doing.

Looks like some good was got out of it though by you meeting your OH!

I was much more interested in my current boyfriend instead of going to my lessons in 6th form, oops! I blame that, and my parents separating, for my awful grades:

    AS German - D, AS Maths - U

    A2 Biology - C, A2 Chemistry - D

I then went to University in Northampton (1st choice) and got a 2:1 BSc (Hons) in Human Biology followed by a graduate job in a pharma company where I still work, 3 years later. It all worked out quite well in the end, especially as I met OH at uni ?.

    Ditto

I did go to the classes but then spent the rest of my days playing cards. I got a D for Maths and General studies and N's for Theology and French. I have no idea why I took French. I hated it, would have preferred English but it clashed with the Maths timetable so I wasn't able to do it.

I went to Sunderland Uni and studied Early Childhood Studies with Education and got a 2:2.

I did History,Biology and Sociology, but dropped out of it after a year as I didn't need A levels.

I then went on to do gain a Diploma in Nursing. And did a whole lot of socialising.

Some fab 999 parties were thrown and boy do dr's and nurses know how to party!
