What are your Hitched pet peeves?

Just a bit of light hearted fun to see me through the rest of the day. What annoys you on Hitched? I'll start... 1) People asking for an opinion then getting upset when they get some. 2) People who start loads of threads, rarely go back to them to thank the contributors and very rarely comment on...

And "i" on its own is always a capital... "I".

    Ha!

Do people not understand 'light hearted fun'? Must we all live in a world of rainbows and bunnies 365 days a year?

Did you read the initial post where it was mentioned as "light hearted" but thank you for poiniting out exactly why, how you come across is a massive "pet peeve"

You should never start a sentence with 'and', and it should never have a capital letter.

Always is a bit strong. If you are referring to the letter, lower case is fine. Capitalisation is only necessary when using it in the first person narrative. I know that was how it was meant in the post, but, hey, if we're going to be picky... Smiley smile

I don't normally correct grammar on here, but if you're going to correct someone else, get it right

I agree. How dare we all point out that you are contradicting yourself by making bitchy comments and not taking your own advice and only commenting when you have helpful information?!

Showing where you made the mistake in taking a light hearted post way too seriously is just beyond any reasonable level of bitchiness.

I hope all you ladies will join me in hanging our heads in shame at our disgusting behaviour and agree to never, ever have a laugh on here again.

This is another massive pet peeve. People asking if we have nothing better to do, when clearly they are doing the same thing...

Listen, I don't think you really understand the double standards in your post, do you?

There has not been one instance of name calling on this thread until you called everyone bitchy and nasty.

What there has been is a bit of banter. I guarantee every one of us 'bitches' do at least one of the pet peeves mentioned on this thread. No one has taken offence.

Hitched is not like other wedding forums. The users here don't sugar coat things for the sake of it and, for the most part, people stick around because they like it this way.

Because of this, mutual respect blossoms. We don't all jump in with 'awww hun' etc, we offer practical, usable advice. But I tell you what - when one of us is actually going through a tough time the users on here never fail to astound me with just how supportive they are.

Absolutely this. I've seen posts turn into witch hunts and some almost turn into bullying. Not up for that at all.

What Karv said. No-one has been bitchy. Hitched is honest, there are plenty of fluffy wedding websites where everyone will agree with each other if you'd prefer that?

I need to stop eating cake.

On 99.9% they are just differences of opinions (some more heated than others) but I have seen a couple where people have got really personal to other posters, don't know if there is some history between them but yes I have seen a couple of posts where things have gone way too far.
