What Did You/Will You Eat Morning of Wedding?

IshouldCoco, 8 September, 2012 at 10:53 Posted on Planning 0 36

What did everyone eat night before and morning of?

Sounds a strange question, but I was considering a Chinese but thought I'd be bloated and stink of garlic so scrapped that. Also I'm a bit concerned I may faint as I'm reactionary hypoglycemic, and should eat 5/6 times a day really.

Is there any fainters from not eating, here?!

This, except my breakfast was more vegetarian than a full English (meal the night before was Italian). Don't do what I did and drink three cups of coffee with breakfast - not a good idea.

Chinese buffet the night before with parents, BMs and some relatives who had come from far away and were staying over with us.

Full English on the morning of the day - we were staying in a B&B so no worries about cooking/washing up!

We are planning take away the night before as are having a last supper kinda meal with all the wedding party, the morning off I have banned all fried/grilled food for fear or my hair smelling of bacon etc (god this makes me sound high maintenance!) so shall be having bagels/scrambled eggs/ smoked salmon maybe cold sausages, basically what ever people want that can be cold/microwaved or toasted. ?

I had half a bowl of Rice Krispies and half a Twirl. I really couldn't face any food. Didn't have much of my wedding breakfast either, but I didn't faint!

We had something quite plain for tea, think it may have been pasta. On the morning I had toast, and as I was getting ready I ate a ham sarnie I had made and took with me. I didn't want to eat it, but I didn't want to start feeling faint or anything so forced it down.

(Although it's AGES away) I will be having a full English (or as close as I can get with how much of a fussy eater I am!) the morning of my wedding. I'll need something proper to keep me going. As for the night before, I am not sure but will be aiming for something that is a favourite and I know I'll enjoy/eat all of!

Night before we will probably have chinese takeaway (me and bms), then in the morning bacon sarnies. I have insulin resistence (type 2 diabetes) so have to eat to regulate my blood sugar and take my meds!

Hmm I had a little omelette for breakfast, with some bready thing and fresh fruit. Then at midday I had a burrito style wrap thing and some veggie samosas.

    Night before the wedding, pizza!

I am really worried about bloating so am planning to have a big lunch the day before and then perhaps salad or omelette the night before and then the morning I think probably poached egg on toast, I too am banning fried foods as I will be getting my make up done in my mums kitchen and beaches of the heat of the Aga the smell of stuff like bacon lingers.

We went to the Harvester the night before. And on the morning I had a small fry up, snacked on cookies, and had a nutri-grain bar just before I got into my dress. x

I ate a full english breakfast for tea the night before, followed by a massive bag of minstrels and a huuuge bag of popcorn. I felt so sick!

And on the day I had 2 pieces of toast and a mcdonalds for breakfast. Though we were too late for the actual breakfast so I had a full on meal at 11am!

    Nom nom nom!

I'm having dinner with some of my family the night before as we'll all be in the same hotel. In the morning I'm going to eat as much as possible from the buffet breakfast in the hotel. I love hotel breakfast - croissants, bacon, muffins, fruit... yum!

I'm generally a full english kind of girl but it does normally make me feel bloated and lethargic so will probably give it a miss. Will definitely have one the morning after though! Night before I'm really not too worried about, am planning a girlie night so probably a chinese.

My Nan passed away this week and she would always make french toast with cinammon sugar on the mornings of special occasions, so I think it would be fitting for me to have this on my wedding day. Plus, it's reasonably light and filling.

Smoked salmon, cream cheese and bagels with a glass of bucks fizz. Not sure if the hotel does smoked salmon and bagels so I may have to sneak it in with the champagne. Just need to buy myself a coolbox and keep it topped up with ice ready for the morning.

Just had this conversation with my mam as the wedding is this Saturday and she's contemplating what she needs to buy in.

Think OH and I may go out for lunch and have something biggish on Friday and then probably something light - jacket potato with salad etc. for tea time.

Breakfast time on wedding morning - danish pastries with bucks fizz although may ask daddy to sneak us through mcdonalds drive thru on the way home from the hairdressers hehehehe! xx

Sorry for your loss SM, sounds like a lovely idea to have that on the morning of your wedding. I'm sure your gran would be very pleased.

I'll be staying at the venue the night before the wedding with my girls so will be having a full scottish breakfast in the morning and will go out for dinner the night before.

We had quite a few of our guests round at our house the night before the wedding, and cooked a couple of joints of pork for pork, stuffing and gravy baps.

Think I had a cereal bar first thing on the morning of the wedding before going to the hairdressers, then my sisters and I popped round to Asda and got a cooked chicken, salad and some pasta for lunch about 12:30. Full English gives me rotten heartburn so this seemed a bit safer. Though I did get some grief for going to Asda on my wedding day!

Chinese banquet night before, champagne, platters of strawberries, raspberries and melon, various sticky pastries and bacon butties morning of the wedding. I didn't manage too much. Maybe half a bacon butty a couple of bites of a danish and a few strawberries in my champas. I had about 4/5 glasses before church!

We all went out for dinner the night before. The place was quite posh and had lots of exotic sounding foods. I decided on something I knew I liked and agreed with me - steak and chips!

I had no appetite whatsoever on the morning, I was too excited to think about eating much. I managed a cup of tea and a yorkie bar though.

We're going to the local cheapy carvery the evening before, with the wedding party. Hoping for an early dinner (6ish) before OH and I go our seperate ways.

Morning of, the current plan is that we'll have some different cereals, fruit and yoghurs and a selection of bagels, croissants and pastries available on the side in the kitchen and we can all just help ourselves when we're hungry.

H2B is apparently sending his Dad to the nearby "munchies" cafe, that does take away breakfast rolls and stuff.
