What does the weekend have in store?

geekypants, 10 July, 2009 at 16:30 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 34

Mr P is on his way home from work now, and we are heading over to our house to start the re-wire soonish. Meeting up with friends for pizza and wine later. hurrah.

Tomorrow is yoga and house house house, but its a bank holiday in N. Ireland this weekend so am seceretly looking forward to it all because we might actually get stuff done.

Party and BBQ on Monday with mates, might have to slip in a bit more pubbage/fun things before then.

What about you guys?

Your weekend sounds great! Have a good one.

H is away on a stag do. I am trying to do a Java assignment that appears to be impossible. Tonight I am missing a work's night out for someone's birthday, tomorrow I'm missing a hen do in Cheltenham and Sunday I'm missing my friend's birthday BBQ. ?

I'm working 8am-9pm (so actually 7.30am-10pm) both S&S. Then straight into another 5 day week. Working 12 days in a row sucks big time. ☹️

Night in with Mr R-A, a DVD and some wine tonight. Tomorrow evening we're invited to a birthday party. Can't decide whether to go so I've at least I've done something vaguely 'fun' this w/e, or whether to get some kip so I have any chance of feeling passably human the following day. Hmm.

Going out to a pal's house for tea, staying over then taking her 3 year old and 1 year old girls out for a run in the car and off to a park to run them ragged and give their mum a break tomorrow. coming home, H probably raiding on WoW tomorrow when we get back and total veggieness on sunday I think...

Not too exciting as we can't afford much atm...

No idea what we are upto this weekend! I am picking the step-son up tonight. H is on his last night shift - so I am thinking a night infront of the TV watching the BB eviction! Tomorrow out for a run at 8am with Mum followed by breakfast out! Then over to my brothers to see my neices and nephew...home and I am hoping for some serious pub action tomorrow night!! Life is so much easier now that the step son is 18 & legal!! ?

Should be a chilled out weekend! Much needed!

Tonight we're staying in to eat pizza, drink wine and generally unwind from the week's nonsense.

Tomorrow i've got all the usual washing and household crap to do plus we really ought to go do some shopping as food is in short supply. Then tomorrow night we're off out to dinner at our mates' place which will be fab and probably very drunken with lots of hilarity, rock band and possibly some chilling out in their hot tub. I'm really looking forward to catching up with them as we've not seen them since before our holidays last month.

Sunday will be a pretty leisurely affair, i've got to go to the inlaws to offload a couple of chili plants on my mil, get something to roast/bbq for dinner, give the cars a good going over and tackle a bit of ironing. Still at least i've got Top Gear and On Thin Ice to look forward to watching sunday night

It's my Bday on Sunday, so going to do the cleaning shift tonight and then home to a nice takeaway and forget about the fact that people at work haven't even so much as mentioned it being my birthday (the closest has been my manager going on and on and ON about her planning her son's 3rd bday party for NEXT weekend) ?

Then I'm going to go look at kittens tomorrow!! ? H wants to buy one for my bday yay! Then tomorrow night H is supposedly taking me out for a meal (but as of this morning he hadn't booked anywhere yet so I'm not holding my hopes up)

Sunday I'm going for a meal in a nice-looking pub with my family and H (never been) and - hopefully - get spoiled rotten!

Right now I'm in such a "Bah humbug" mood so could do with having a good weekend, let's hope the weather's good! ?

Tonight I'm off to the new bloke's, we're going for a run and then just chilling out (although he has to do some work at some point). Tomorrow I'm off to my friend's parents' place, her dad is a musician and is holding a mini-music-fest for family and friends. Sunday afternoon, back to bloke's, a run will feature at some point but nothing else planned as such.

I'm on my own tonight so will be pottering/hitching and making something nice for my supper. Want to do a class at the gym tomorrow, then farmers' market and maybe the Geffrye musueum - there's an exhibition there I want to see. Quiet night in at loml's place. Supposed to be doing a 10k run on Sun but knee is a bit sore so might gym instead. Swans. Laundry. Bit of work.

    That's about it, really.

Nothing much. A lot of rest I think as I am going back to work on Monday after 4.5 months off sick. Eeek. Only for 3 hours though. lol.

On sunday there is a family get-together so we will be having a picnic (or looking at the weather, maybe not!).

Tonight I shall be sitting in the house on my jack, playing tunes for myself and drinking (except from nine to ten, obviously when I'll be watching Torchwood).

Tomorrow evening I shall be sitting in the bar, playing tunes for other people and drinking. First time ever on July 11th... Hoping it goes smoothly.

Sunday I'm having a couple of friends round. We will mostly be drinking and playing tunes, although if the sun's out a pig may get roasted.

It is hard, I try to keep quiet and not to disturb him but I get pretty bored.

He's got ages left...only started in May, its a 3 years course but he's hoping his credits knock about 6 months off, so just under 2.5years to go.....god help me!! Then he wants to do a PHD...think I need a hobby ?

Are you doing yours through OU Doughnut? H is having hassles with them, they keep losing his forms.

Mine doesn't stay quiet! I feel bad as we've got one room in our house, with stairs in it, so if there's noise in the house, it's in the whole house. He wears headphones to watch the TV which is cute ? His hobby is playing the guitar, both electric and acoustic, with is rather incompatible with my liking the quiet. We're moving somewhere bigger next week though.

No I'm doing it through the Univ. of Herts. OU didn't do the course I wanted. Is his postgrad? I wanted to do a PhD before I started my Masters, now I'm not sure I can even finish that ?

Do you have some hobbies that could get you out and about?

I have a lovely weekend planned.

I've been working 6 days a week for months now and this weekend, not only am I off completely tonight (unheard of for me) but I only have to work two hours tomorrow - yay!

Then on Sunday, Mr Nora has arranged for us to go to the Alton Towers Spa for a full day of pampering <blissful sigh>

Then I have a full day off on Monday too so I'm really going to try and make the most of chilling out and relaxing ?

Ahhh thats really thoughtful of him wearing headphones to watch tv....I'm not that considerate ? In fact thinking about it I'm pretty bad at distracting him. I shouted him downstairs last weekend to kill a wasp (we have a wasps nest so killing them is pretty constant).

He went for OU because it was the cheapest and his work would only pay up to a certain amount. He's doing a MBA. I think he's already done a post grad (before my time) thats where the credits come from. I have the job of proof reading his assignments though which is fun! I dont even understand what I'm reading, I kind of glaze over, just all seems too waffley and incredibly boring.

I started knitting but that drove me mad! My new challenge is losing weight for holiday in September. I even went running the other night....was horrible!

How long do you have left?

We are in the same room though! Do you watch tell with him studying in the same room? If so, get some headphones ? My H's main activity is watching telly, he could watch it from the minute he gets in til he goes to bed, and I rarely want to watch it and can't stand the noise, so it was a bugbear before the studying started.

Running is horrible to start with! What about cycling? Less hard work, and less strain on your joints. I can't run any more (overdid it and wore knees out) but did about 13 miles on my bike tonight. I love it.

I'm quarter of the way through... ugh! Not sure I'll finish it TBH.

He studies in the spare bedroom but the house is pretty open so if I have telly on then he can hear it, mind you he does study with the music on the pc so he must not get distracted by noise easily. One of my H's hobbies is playing guitar so after studing he'll drown me out making noise. I feel your pain.

I'm not good with cycling, always gives me issues down below. I've been doing Davina's dvd which I enjoy and hard work. Am having a night off with exercising tonight and relaxing with glass of wine and a nice dinner. I've exercised 10 of out 11 days so could do with a rest.

Try not to give up now. It will be worth it in the long run, you dont want to regret it forever if you dont finish.

I was supposed to be in the pub now getting it all off to a good start but am sat watching Corrie and considering going to bed soon. Woe is indeed very much me.

Night out tonight, possible night out tomorrow then 3 nights at a hotel for my birthday and shopping/nice meal. H annoyed me this evening but we went out anyway. As soon as I got out I realised he was continuing to annoy me so I stayed for less than 5 minutes and got a chinese and came home ? It's probably my fault really but I'm just so fed up atm.

No we were meeting his friends. I'm annoyed with him but in general too (PMT) which he is aware of but it's too much to expect him to maybe make a little effort to make me not feel like a spare part. I might go back there later and get drunk but fear the answer to my problems isn't at the bottom of a glass bottle of vodka. Ho hum. I hope everyone else is having a better Friday ?

Aww jaz that doesn't sound like much fun. If I were you I'd stay away from your OH and his friends tonight else you might end up really falling out.

Start afresh tomorrow and hopefully things will sort themselve out and you'll still have a good weekend.

Happy Birthday by the way! ?

Not much planned here. My H is having a motorbike delivered today so he's glued to the window looking out for the delivery truck.

I've done a load of housework this morning so I'm just sitting down with the laptop while the baby sleeps and my 3 yr old is playing with his Peppa Pig toys on the living room floor.

Tomorrow will probably be staying in with the kids whilst H goes out on his bike. Roast chicken for dinner and then a night in front of the TV. We've got The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas on DVD so may watch that.
