What is your passion? What is your oh's passion?

clarehj, 21 November, 2012 at 23:38 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 36

My boy :- Football. Specifically, Arsenal. I thought that if I married foreign, I would be spared the english's men's obsession with football, but oh no. He is going to 4 games in the next week and a half. I have even agreed to go to everton away game next week as have the week off.

My passion:- I'm a bit of a geek and love current affairs, international relations and specifically the Times.

H is a gun man. Since he was a child. It's the only thing I would question if he loved more than me... I don't know if iv got a passion you know? I enjoy a bit of all sorts but I don't think there's one thing I am passionate about.

Mine is food. It's all I think about, hence why I am a lard arse.

Me and a couple of friends were talking about this the other day. One is really into photography, and I was saying how I wish there was something I enjoyed as much. I like a few different things, but nothing I feel very passionate about.

OH is passionate about football, any football at all, but particularly Sheffield United. I like football, but not as much as I did when I was younger.

I wouldn't class myself as passionate about anything! Or the other half for that matter- plenty of different interests but nothing specific.

We enjoy good food, good drinks and good company.

MF - Football, any team but specifically Glasgow Rangers. Also he's pretty passionate about his work, he's a painter decorator but enjoys it and is passionate about how it can change people's living environment. That sounds corny, but he's into it!

Mine is general art and crafts and being creative and music. Not making it, just being knowledgeable!

H's passion would be rugby and old comic books.

H - Football. Playing, watching, betting on. He is mad about it. And Golf. Loser

Me - Netball. It takes up so much of my time, playing, watching, coaching, umpiring and socialising.

I'll go if you don't want to. Though, I'll be supporting the blues. COYB!!

My OH is well into his sports too, mainly football, but he plays cricket, golf, tennis too. He's very good at football, our house is FULL of medals. He's scored 3 hatricks in the last 5 games, so I don't mind him being into it. I'm very proud of him.

As for me, it's gotta be am dram. I love it. Couldn't get me off the stage for toffee! And crafting, I love making cards (when I get the time) - in fact, I made 15 Christmas cards last night!

C is the biggest car geek I have ever met. He is on car forums ( who'd use a forum?! ? ), he watches anything on Tv to do with cars or motorbikes, buys all the car magazines, goes to as much live motorsport as he can, and he has a weekend car. I am convinced he loves his car more than me.

I am less extreme about my passions. I love food, fashion and making our home lovely. Oh, and my big passion is socialising with our friends, and drinking!

OH - American Football. He loves it and it drives me crazy sometimes as obviously the games aren't shown at social hours over here i.e. he gets up to watch his team play at 1:30am!!!

Mine - Baking, and that's about it really!

OH loves his x-box/ps3 and football, specifically Arsenal which I never really understood. His other really big passion is film, we have a stupid amount of dvds/blurays and we aren't allowed to watch Lord of The Rings unless it's the mega-long extended version. He's made a few short films himself, I'm so proud of him and hope he gets to take us both to Cannes one day.

I'm a total science geek and absolutely love to travel. I'm desperate to go to South America after I graduate.

We're both really passionate about good drinks as well - real beer, good whisky and well mixed cocktails are our favourite treats.

This is my Dad. He has 50 years worth of car magazines in my parents' loft. When they moved house he told the removal people he had a few boxes of them which they said was fine, they ended up needing a second van. This was 17 years ago as well so I dread to think what it's like up there now.

    ?

This is fairly apt as we are hoping to move house in the new year. C has a back catalougue of at least 3 magazines that he has been collecting since he was a lot younger. He still has some at his mums house, and she keeps threatening to get them sent over to us. ?

They make me want to cry a little bit as they take up so much space! ?

Bless him. Is he a Notts boy then?

My OH's passion is definitely LFC. I don't know how we got onto the subject but when discussing his best day ever last night he really had to umm and aahh about whether or not it was our wedding day or the 2005 Champions League final.

I don't really have a passion as such, there's a lot of things I enjoy doing but none I would say I am passionate about.

Me - Football. Sad as it is, my football team are in integral part of my life. I don't go as much as I used to (I would go to every home and away game back in the day) but it's just too pricey now. I'm very passionate about them (probably too much) and it makes me very sad when they lose. Which is happening a lot at the moment.

OH - tennis. Which is great for me as it means we don't argue about sport.

H's passion is welsh rugby. He gets even more passionate when it's international rather than local clubs so now the Autumns are on I get daily updates on who's injured, who's back, what position changes they've had, which refs they need to avoid... Luckily a lot of the wales squad are quite yummy, especially Warburton mmm. He could have a worse passion

Mine is reading. Pretty much how I could spend every free moment if I were allowed. Or baths. I do enjoy a bath.

OH: Politics. Cricket is his number one favourite sport, but also football (Spurs) and Welsh rugby.

We both do archery as a hobby - not sure I'd call it a passion, but it might be if we had the money to buy new equipment! Otherwise:

OH is a major science geek, and spends lots of time on his tablet reading science papers or doing computer programming (even when he's not at work, he does it for fun?!)

Not really sure I have a passion... I love history and reading, and watching geeky TV shows and films. I've become pretty passionate about the gym actually, but can't go much at moment because I've hurt my knee ☹️

OH - football, music. I hate that he is soo into football yet would never dream of joining a team & playing it. To me, that would be more worthwhile.

Me - Food - cooking, baking, eating. Make up - I spend more on make up than I do clothes. And animals, esp dogs. My wee dog lights up my world.

Me- I'm not so narrow in my passions, I love good food and wine, reading anything, especially newspapers and music, I play viola and sing.

    I sound like such a k*ob!
