What to get a groom as a present

I saw a great idea on the forum a few days ago which was a collection of things including:

Socks so he doesn't get cold feet
A watch so he turns up on time
A boudoir shot so he knows why he's marrying you

Can't remember the rest off the top of my head, but it was a great idea which I'm stealing. I'm getting him a really nice pocket watch with pictures of his parents inside because he's lost them both and I thought it was a nice way to have them with him on the day.

Here's the whole list:

A Watch - So he's not late
Socks - So he doesn't get cold feet
A miniature bottle of port - So he can steady his nerves
A keyring engraved with our wedding date - So he never forgets our anniversary
A good husband guide - So we have a happy marriage
A chocolate heart with a personalised message - So he remembers how sweet our love is
A Boudoir Shoot - So he remembers why he's marrying me

Pretty much the same as snowbunny. Ive got him a pocketwatch to use as a locket for a picture of his grandparents, and a few other little bits and bobs similar to that list. I wont be spending a lot of money on a proper gift like I would his birthday or something, just something sentimental.

I've got him engraved cufflinks, with the co-ordinates of where we stand when we get married:

I got mine his team football shirt with a personal message on the back and the number 3 as we r getting married on the 3rd.

I got personalised cuff links too, which have the date of our wedding engraved on them (those were from notonthehighstreet). I am also having some peanut butter fudge made for him, because he loves it, a miniature Jack Daniels, a cigar for him to smoke with his mates at the reception (why do they do that?!), and I am going to try and incorporate a picture of his late nan too. x

I really wanted to get my OH a fancy watch but I changed jobs and now earn ALOT less and can't afford it. Part of me wants to get it on a credit card (with 0% interest) but he might kick my arse for doing that (he HATES credit cards) so I'm a bit up in the air at the moment!

These are all lovely ideas and i might pinch them lol where di i get a personalised keyring from and i love the pocket watch idea i might pinch as put a picture of his mum who passed away december just gone i love the idea thank you everyone for the ideas x

why dont you get it on littlewoods or some place like that where you can pay it over 20 weeks or 52 weeks hun x

Last Saturday the Groom got a Rolex, bonkers.

Love love love the rolex idea - Just called my local swanky shop and they also offer 12, 24 & 36 month interest free credit after a 20% deposit is paid.

I was going to get the personalised cufflinks as well, but sort of ran out of time before he wedding.

I told my hubby on our wedding day I was going to buy him a pair of rayban sunglasses at the airport the next day on our way to our honeymoon. It was perfect because he has everything he needs anyway, and hated his old sunglasses!

They have some great personalise cufflinks on NOTHS. I think I might get him the QR codes ones, because he loves QR codes (geek!). I can have the first verse from two of our special songs on each one.

Notonthehighstreet.com. I found the coordinates myself using google maps and ordered them from the supplier that way. There are some who will find the coordinates for you, but i wanted a very specific point so did it myself.

I made him a gift box with a variety of things:

groom socks (incase he got cold feet)

miniture whiskey (to calm the nerves)

mug (to have his early morning caffeine fix)

tissues (for the moment he realises he's stuck with me)

cufflinks with a personal message on them

watch (traditional leather strap with wedding date engraved on back)

funny boxers

chocolates (something sweet till he could see me)

surviving marriage book (funny quotes)

I can't. The watch he wants is an Omega....

My h2b's gift is getting me as his wife ?

Same as everyone else really, engraved cufflinks, one with our initials, one with the wedding date, a my beautiful groom jornal from NOTHS, Vera wang aftershave, groom socks, a cuban cigar, hip flask with whisky in, 2 soppy cards, rescue remedy, kalms, chocolate. All in a lovely box.

I love the "my beautiful groom journal" - I have been looking for something like this for ages! Thanks for the idea!

I had a boudoir shoot and got an album. I got 1 free print which I gave him for his birthday to throw him off the scent.

I also got him a key ring engraved with the day we got together the day we got engaged and the wedding date. It says on the otherside Anniversary dates. Don't lose your keys and you won't forget.

He is notoriously forgetful and often misplaces his keys.

I have asked him to buy my wedding day perfume as a gift but he isn't keen so I don't expect much ?

Same here! We've decided we're not doing gifts, maybe I'll write him a card or something like that but the wedding is stretching us anyway so all presents are off! (Perhaps we are just really tight...)

That's OK, when I googled it, Oh So Cherished came up and there was nothing from NOTHS, so I assumed that's what you meant! It is already on order and have received my dispatch notice, so thank you very much. I will probably get to work on it soon...do a couple of sections a week up until the wedding, which is just 3 and half months away now! Thanks for your help.
