I agree on chair covers, but Nora we are lucky as our venue has lovely chairs that don't need covers!

Other things I wouldn't have are balloons or a horse and carriage.

See I like chair covers but I see them as a waste of money!!

i used to think chair covers but i think it really depends on your venue...the venue we are keen on would 'need' chair covers as the chairs are ugly and majorly clash but if i had a venue with nice chairs i wouldn't have them!!

for me personally i wouldn't have a strapless dress 1/2 due the fact i don't have the arms/shoulders for it and 1/2 because every wedding i have been to the bride has worn one (not that they haven't looked lovely!!) sorry!!

I hate how feminine some weddings are - it's the groom's day too after all! So I would never have anything pink or flowery (apart from my own flowers of course).

Went to a wedding fair today and there was a man offering his services as a 'lucky chimney sweep'. £80 for him to meet you before the ceremony and then 'hang around' for a couple of hours. Hideous and hilarious. Would never have this.

I wouldn't have bold colours - I love this when done in a kind of Eastern sort of way, but that's hard to do I think as it needs massive investment in this country as not many venues provide a brightly coloured back drop. I also wouldn't have black in the theme - nothing to do with the possible associations (some people say it reminds them of funerals), I just don't like it and I think it looks a bit harsh.

Ummm...I wouldn't have feathers, animals (this I think is just a bit exploitative and cruel and actually object to in many cases, rather than it just being a matter of personal taste)...I wouldn't have lots of sparkly bits in hair, I wouldn't have contrasting sashes on BM dresses...I wouldn't have a birdcage veil...hmmmm....I wouldn't have the groomsmen/groom (not much to do with me, but I think the boy would concur) in light grey suits with matching 'swirly patterned' waistcoats and cravats.

I probably wouldn't have balloons.

All that said though, I have been to plenty of weddings where many of the above have featured and had a bl00dy lovely time and not for one moment thought "Cor, I'd never have chosen THAT"

Balloons (terrified of them), Fireworks, Animals, Magician/photo booth/caricaturist, receiving line.

There's probably more, but I can't think of them.
