What's your diary?

AmnesiaCustard, 6 December, 2011 at 12:54 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 39

Whilst buying my 2012 diary it occured to me that a diary is expression of personality.

2011 I have a Royal Horticultural Society one, next year I have New Internationalist one.

So what's yours?

(Or am I the only person left in the world who actually uses a paper diary?)

    Nope. I have a....Filfofax. A bright pink one. ?

    LIVIN' IN THE 80s!!!

On a related note, Boy told me last night that Siri, my iPhone PA man who makes appointments for me and stuff, is the man who does the voiceovers on The Weakest Link. Off to check if that's true.

I just use the inbuilt calendar in my iPhone. It does everything I require and, unlike my former actual paper diary, I cannot lose it or ruin it with coffee as it backs everything up to my online calendar. Clever innit.

I don't have one but I think I might get one. I keep all of my appointments in my Outlook calendar at work. As Mr B and I work together, I can access his side by side with mine, so makes it easy to see what's going on.

Only down side to that is that I don't have anything with me in my bag if someone suggests something when I'm not in work.

In fact, I think I'll pop out and get myself one at lunchtime.

We have a his/her/theirs calendar in the kitchen for family stuff and birthdays, but I use outlook at work and an iPhone for personal stuff.

Heck no! I hate being without mine.

I have a pretty Paperchase jobby. Needed one that would last me a year onwards. (I keep all of my diaries, I have a stack of cringeworthy diaries from my teens - One particular one notes everything from first kiss and beyond, hideous).

I'll be going down the Paperchase route again for next year but haven't chosen one yet.

I just use the electronic diary on my work computer, it is always in front of me! I totally rely on it to remind me pretty much every step of my life!

Me too! Bought it quite a few years back now! Would love a more grown up one now. A patent black croc leather one. They had a gorgeous Filofax diary last year called Deco, I think. It had a lovely silver clasp as well. Was quite expensive though.

I also love Siri. He puts my appointments in my diary faster than I can.

I have a purple patent leather croc one from Aspinals. I love it. I got it for Christmas a few years ago and it still looks great. Everything goes in it - I would forget so much stuff without it.

Barry they also do it in black croc ;-)

Work stipulates I *should* use my lotus notes one so that everyone knows where I am and when....I ignore this and write everything in my paper diary, always from paperchase and has to be a day to view one.

They didn't do cases for the iPhone 4 when I got mine (they only did 3G etc at that point) so I had to get a different one. Was gutted!

Now I don't use any case as my iPhone is smashed to hell. Definitely getting one of these bad boys next time I get a new one.

A friend has just bought me this too: /products/pocket-memo-pad-in-purple-croc-and-cream-suede

I don't normally have one but with the wedding next year I'm sure I will have loads of things to write down and remember so thought I had better get one. It's a Santoro 'gorjuss' one which I love!

I had one with butterflies on it this year but i tend to use my phone now. At work I have an A5 black Filofax. They are so much better than a diary because you can keep all your contact info and notes and just change the diary bit each year. I've had mine for about 6 years now.

I have recently developed a Vistaprint addiction. I designed and ordered a personalised one, which obviously was free. I have loads to write in it already, but haven't done it yet as I've only just recieved my free personalised pen to go with it ?

I was given this little beauty last year for Xmas from my Grandma and i've used it nearly everyday since - as MissusS can vouch, I don't go anywhere without it! I've already bought my 2012 insert as lots happening next year!

My H has a matching black one... Still brand new, in it's box.... He isn't really a diary kind of guy - he just kind of, hopes for the best... That said, most his appointments etc are given to his the previous night via "orders" at work - even dentist appointments!

I have a lovely big filofa and a small leather one for my handbag Smiley smile

This! I wrote them in as soon as I got my 2012 one and sat there with a goofy grin on for a few minutes afterwards Smiley smile

I also have the pink filofax but have had it for 5 years and it is getting a bit tatty so I have been thinking about replacing it. I love that Aspinalls one, and the bag too !!
