What's your 'must see' Film? Or just recommend one to me...

Beez, 5 September, 2012 at 19:17 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 30

I know this must have been done many times but I'd love a few recommendations please. I'll watch pretty much anything, films with subtitles are fine too if there's any arty types out there.

I hate Saw/Hostel type movies and most scary movies. Also not keen on Quentin Tarantino type films.

My must see is Shawshank Redemption.

My recommendations are:

Never Let Me Go - I loved it felt so original.

Iron Lady - normally not a fan of Meryl Streep but I was completely engrossed. Maybe as I remember a lot of the history.

I love Guy Richie and Tarantino films- Kill Bill, Lock stock, snatch etc

Inception and Shutter Island (Leonardo Dicaprio) are awesome too.

I generally love all British films too.

One of my all time favs is an old British film 'wish you were here' really simple storyline about a teenager growing up in post war Britain not a huge budget or lots of special effects and Emily Lloyd's acting is awesome.

Apoco is really good. I think Mel Gibson directed it.

Oh well if you arent fussy start the twilight boxset! The first one is brilliant, when it was a little inde film before it all blew up.

This means war - just new out and saw it in the cinema, would watch itagain

Do you like Grease? I need to have this in a must see. My favourite film ever.

Also have a thing for the Final Destination films even though I hate scary/gory/violent films.

Butterfly effect is pretty cool movie- about how changing a single moment in time can change the whole path of life.

Momento- about a guy who can't make new memories so wakes up every morning not knowing who he is or who the people in his life are.

Studio 54- based around the uber cool new York club. I so which I was there!

Cruel intension - just an easy to watch teen flick.

The Dream Girls- just for the Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson sing along factor.
