With getting married abroad, I want something lighter thatn I usually wear as I love "old fashioned" smells, like the prada perfume, chanel no 5, Agent Provocateur Maitresse but it will be too heavy.

Going to have a look at what "summer" scents there are in the shops!

Hoping to use Ralph Lauren Blue or Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue because it'll be my something blue. Only thing is I don't know what either of them smell like yet but if I don't like them there are loads of perfumes called "blue" or some variant of "blue"!

I've bought two possibilities, both ones I've been wanting to get for a while - Givenchy's Very Irresistible and Elizabeth Arden's Provocative Woman

I'll decide on the day which one I want to wear instead of my normal Organza ?

I've just bought the new Givenchy one that they have Uma Thurman advertising. It's called Angel or Demon and it's the Le Secret version of it (peachy coloured bottle not the blue one). It's light enough but strong too iyswim... I too wanted something that could be smelt and remembered but not overpowering like some of the ones I usually wear e.g. Prada etc. I was maybe going to go for a Dior one if I hadn't chosen this like the Miss Dior Cherie is nice.

If you want something light and fresh, try Daisy by Marc Jacobs - it's my favourite at the moment and very summery.

Personally I don't know what my wedding day perfume will be! OH has always loved Jean Paul Gaultier for women and always comments on it when I wear it, but although I do love it, I think it's a very thick smell, if that makes sense?! Maybe a bit much for a summer's wedding day.

I'd quite like to get something new that I've never worn before, so that it's exclusive to the day and I can spray it every now and then to remind myself of the wedding! (sorry that was rather fluffy and a bit nauseating ?)

Stazzle - Daisy is the one I'm thinking of at the moment

I know what you mean, there are certain smells I associate with certain holidays, people etc so I wanted something that would remind me of my wedding day.

H2B wants to wear his same old Issey Miyake which I love, but I know if I buy him it now, He'll wear it every day up to the wedding! x x

I will be using my late nans perfume. She passed away 2 years ago so I kept her perfume to use on a special occassion. I think it will be lovely to use her perfume on m big day as sadly she won't be there. I cant remember off the top of my head, its quite a rich scent but its lovely.

Other than that, my fave perfume is Vera Wang Princess, I just love it! x

Aww that's a really lovely idea I'm sure your Nan would love the fact you are remembering her and wearing her perfume.

OH bought me the original Givenchy Ange Demon about 2 years ago at Xmas and I love it, only wear it on special occasions or if we are going out so I will be wearing that. I'm quote funny about perfumes, lots give me headaches so will stick to what I know. My everyday perfume is Issey Miyake.

My Mum got me the Vera Wang perfume - I can't remember the name, but think it could be classic. I'll be wearing that.

A wedding perfume? I hadn't even thought of that!

I think I will probably wear my ultimate favourite Issey Miyake ( the original L'eay De issey), I always have a bottle but can't wear it every day as it is too bloody expensieve, so it will still be special.
