The place i chose to get wed was based on the price alone its very nice inside, outside is nothing special, all the venues above look beautiful, i am a little bit jealous?

I know i'm being silly, i was only thinking that there's no pretty garden to have pictures taken outside, the ones on the grass would have the brown brick building as a backdrop and having seen other people's wedding photos there it does look a bit bland but i'm happy to be getting married anwhere as long as its to my OH!!!!

Here's mine! 3 months today and I'll be standing on deck drinking champagne and listening to a talk about the ship before being called to dinner ?

Steelgoddess and chelle do you mind me asking how much your venues cost???? I am planning on getting married in either Essex or Kent and so have so many venues to choose from! A lot of the websites do not give their prices so it is difficult to know if they are in my price range until I go for a meeting where I may fall in love and become tempted to blow the budget LOL

No problem VickyJay. Im not 100% sure, but its around the £9000 mark. Thats Ceremony room, and Breakfast room, 80 guest for day time, 3 course meal with coffees, 3 drinks each for after ceremony (Bucks Fizz/Pimms), 3/4 bottle of wine each, and a glass of champagne for toast. An unlimited evening buffet for 150 people, including a cheese board and fish bar. We also get the bridal suite and two parents rooms. It was one of the best venues i saw in the area, and one of the best prices. They are hosting a wedding farye on Sunday which I'm going to and cant wait...Where abouts do you live?

I'm getting married at Caistor Hall in Norwich.

I see there's a few people from Reading! ? I'm from Reading but getting married in Bristol...

I think the room hire is £750 for that we're getting the panel room and the drawing room which is where we're getting married. My wedding is very small at only 30 for arvo and altogether about 80 in the eve. Its a VERY reasonable venue and would reccomend it so far!

Cola, don't worry, the Marriott is lovely inside - i've been there loads of times and once to a reception there. My venue has a courtyard garden but unfortunately one of the walls is a horrible white screen to hide some building work going on behind it! Just have to make sure the photographers stand with their backs to it!
