We worked together, he was a manager and I wasn't. We still work together, and he's still a manager and I'm not!

Met in our post office and said hi a few times, then he popped up as a match on dating site I trialled. I sent a wink, he asked me out and it went from there.

I met my manfriend on holiday. Not even a wild girls holiday, I was with my mum! She actually met him before I did!

We used to work together, our eyes met across a crowded department! then he added me on FB and I found out he was married . . . . . ?

I knew him online for about 3 years and we were friends. He was in Scotland, me in London. He decided to come down to do some sightseeing and asked me to be his 'tour guide' and things went from there. It was the first time we had met and met each other on the train platform and then just automatically kissed which was weird as we were just friends and it all went from there... and no I am not a geek ?

At work. I was on a 1yr contract and he joined as part of the "New Deal" scheme. I was the one who opened the door to him and I remember thinking "bloody hell, he looks rough".

We no longer work together now, though.

Met hubby when I was nearly 15 on holiday in Spain (he was 19) but just mates - we got together for awhile afterwards he used to come and visit me he lived in Wales I lived in Reading, and then I met a local lad when I was 17 and that was the end for me and H.

I married the local lad at 25 and then divorced at 36.

H and I found each other on friends reunited site when I was about 30 and chatted, after I split with ex 2005 we got together in 2008 and got married 2011. I think it was meant to be as it probably wouldn't have lasted and I had child with ex too and H doesn't want family of his own.

Mine and the hubby's story is quite similar...

Through facebook via one of those "do you think I'm hot apps" which at the time was zoosk which is now and independent dating site. He lived down the road and we went on a date and hit it off immediately!

In a pub, he knew my friend and mum, they proceeded to give him my number behind my back, even though I said I didn't like him! He soon woo'd me though.

Speed dating. Myself and a few girls from work went for a laugh and he was there with a friend - they have both been drunkenly dared to sign up for it a week before at a BBQ. Some of us went onto a bar after the event was over. My OH didn't come with us although I had really liked him, he was a bit shy and wouldn't interrupt a conversation my friends and I were having with some other guys but he heard where we were going and lo and behold, half an hour later, him adn his friend turned up. Went on our first real date less than a week later and have been together ever since.

On a ship!

We met at Cambridge. We were both at St John's College, and I first saw him at a meeting of the St John's Christian Union, and thought he was really "cute". We chatted over the next few weeks, and then he asked me out for a drink, and we've been together ever since.

We went to school over the road from each other (him private me not) we lived 10 mins away our whole lives.

We shared some of the same friends but had never met. We got introduced in a pub, I was wasted. I made him buy me a sambuca and later snogged his face off. 3 months later I proposed and 5 months after that we bought our first house. Been together over 3 years now and married for 4 months :-)

The day after we first met he went back to his mum's and told her he had met the girl he was going to marry. He was right :-)

We met on an internet dating site having both been through traumatic marriage splits - both our ex's had been cheating on us. Just went on site out of curiosity and havingbeen egged on by workmates. We started to chat and have a joke or two then it got to be a longer and longer and more flirty conversation. One day we realised we had been online chatting for over 9 hours!!! Agreed to meet him for a drink, had a lovely time and then chckened out and called it all off. After 3 or 4 days realised I missed him and our chats and he had sent me a message to say please call me when you are ready. I did and we haev never looked back. I absolutely love him to bits.

On the internet!! I had been single for about 15 months after being dumped on new years eve (happy new year sal.san!!) and thought that i would dip my toe back into the water. Hence found my knight and the rest is history!

I can't remember ever not knowing my OH. He was my older brother's best friend at school, although, at 7 years older than me, I didn't take a lot of notice. They only had sporadic contact over the years after leaving school, but I used to hear odd snippets of gossip about him from my brother. Bumped into each other a couple of times over the years and he even attended my late Mother's funeral, but I remember him being there.

We both ended up living in the same town and as we were both single at the time, my brother suggested we meet up 'just for a drink' We hit it off and four months later moved in together. We've since bought a house together and we're now looking forward to our wedding in less than 4 months. Being divorced after 20 odd years of marriage, I honestly never expected to meet anyone as special as him, I still sometimes have to pinch myself when I wake up in the morning ?

A case of mistaken identity.... i got poked on facebook by this guy who u thought was a guy i used to go to school with who (who i didnt speak top at the time!) id had a crush on, same name, simlar looking, just thought hes grown up so changed a bit, so got chatting on faceyb...i dont even know how it didnt crop up sooner...but we chatted on and off for a couple days when he asked me for a drink...it wasnt until i suggested a pub that was a well known haunt of my school days i realised he didnt know it, and it wasnt him, gah!

met him anyway and voila, 4 years later!! tho he nearly didnt get a call back as he wore a hideous red cardigan on our first date ?
