I guess the fact that the two laydees pictured do seem to have some things facially in common, I guess means that I suppose, grudgingly, people must have a point....

Mattdonna - in that photo you look like one of the younger actresses on Coronation Street. I think she had a storyline in which she was abducted and held in a cottage? Very pretty.

Many moons ago I had a few people tell me I looked like Martine McCutcheon, up until I gained weight 3 years ago I had a stupid amount of people tell me I looked like Sheree Murphy, I even had one drunk girl start arguing with me that I was her when I told her I wasn't. Stupid caaaah, she got short shrift.

I definitely (especially now) do not look like either of those people, it was just the long dark hair I think.

Many moons ago, as a much younger woman, I was once told I looked like a young Elizabeth Taylor (Yeah, right, if only! The only commonality was overly dark dyed hair and dodgy eyeliner a la Liz in Cleopatra, lol

Several people over the years have remarked I have "Chaka Khan's smile" ( a nice compliment......it could've been worse ie the thighs, then the feathers would have flown)

Jennifer Saunders. WTF?! Having said that, at the time, it was more face shape(I have a slight cleft in my chin and similar slightly square jaw line) than features ifyswim....oh, and overly long, mousy curly hair-eek.

In more recent years-Nigella Lawson. Flattering, but not buying this. At the time my hair was darker and straighter, I had a similar penchant for red lipstick and black liquid eyeliner, but I was never that pale/luminous. I suppose before I lost weight, there were more similarities with regards to figure. I think Nigella is foxy and would like it to be true-sadly it's not!

Back in the day I used to be told I looked like Gillian Anderson, to the point friends tried to persuade me to enter a lookalike competition (hosted by HMV Blackpool for that high-class touch). I also got Drew Barrymore. I can see neither. Nowadays, I just see my nan! (That's me, not my nan btw.)

6 or 7 years ago I was told by loads of people that I looked like Gillian Anderson. I had no idea who she was and googled images of her for weeks. ?

At my brother's wedding 5 years ago I lost count of the number of people who said I looked like Catherine Zeta Jones. I wish.

I have dark hair and pale skin, and kind of sticky out cheekbones. H told me a couple of weeks back that I looked like Audrey Hepburn (but think it was just because I was wearing black dress and hair up)

Brilliance is definitely a euphemism for devoid of tact and subtlety, right? Particularly when aforementioned husband still (perhaps 8 years later) squeezes cheeks in an affectionate manner and says "ooh, do you store your food in here?" <cue lots of hmphing and less polite words from me>

When I was at university a woman on my course insisted that I looked like Saffy from Ab Fab. Not Julia Sawalha, just Saffy. She used to tell me this about once a week in a loud voice.

I was also once told by someone on a course I went on that I looked like Charlotte Church - I can't see it except I probably have a similar face shape and similar length hair.

When Mr Caterpillar went to study in the States for a term about 4 years ago and I was out visiting him, a bloke came up to us in the street and insisted that Mr Caterpillar was Clay Aitken, who was in American Idol. The thing is, I'm sure Clay Aitken was quite short, and Mr Caterpillar is 6 foot 4, but the bloke still wouldn't take no for an answer!

When I was younger people often said I looked like Daniella westbrook (before her face collapsed, she was younger then) but with dark hair.

My mother now says I look like Keeley Hawes, and she says my H looks like Brendan Fraser. So not, on either case.
