Will/Did You Definately Do It On Your Wedding Night?

IshouldCoco, 19 April, 2012 at 19:55 Posted on Planning 0 55

We have a 20min taxi ride to Marriott, and a 2am bar.

Can't really see it coming off (scuse the pun).

How's about you lot?

My oh has said we 'have to' but my son is sharing the same room as us and will be innocently sleeping ? but we're off for a mini moon child free the next night for two nights so we will make up for it!

I'm thinking "Not" mainly due to the fact I know my partner will have a few to drink and the percentage is high he will pass out! He doesn't drink much now and with the wine flowing, I'm gonna be out of luck! We also have a mini moon after for a few nights so I'm sure he will put out then lol x

A lot of people now preemptively save it until their second night . . . for a lot of reasons . . . alcohol, tiredness. I think perhaps it was a bigger deal (as in you feel that it's an absolute must!), if your wedding night is supposed to be your first night together!

I think it depends what state we are in and how tired we are really! I wouldn't just because it's our wedding night.

Ive done this thread a while back, and as i understood it whatever you tend to do after a night out is what you will do on your wedding night, So il be puking in the loo and my oh will be passed out on the sofa! LOL

Seriously i am hoping we will and will be a little sad if we don't but it is such a long day and with all that booze it might be a choice between rubbish drunken fumblings or waiting till the next morning/day, eather way i certainly won't be leaving the party early for it! ?

I want to try as I feel it would be a lovely way of ending the day. Saying that, we're normally morning people and don't usually when we've been drinking so I highly doubt it.

I've told my other half he better be up for it for the price we are paying for the room! Although if there's any puking going on, I'll be requesting another room as that's my phobia and it may be grounds for divorce!

I have no plans either way! It depends how much energy he has left after helping me out of my dress! May save it for the next morning Smiley winking

D reckons that if we don't we're not properly married, but he can think again. I get tired easily and it will be a very long day. Plus we will have been drinking and i don't like drunk marital unpleasantness.

I know OH will definitely be up for it....I on the other hand get tired easily, esp on a late night!

We had planned to sneak off in the gap between the wedding breakfast and evening reception to 'seal the deal' only met with our photographer this weekend and she had other ideas for 'gap' and will be taking us to the beach for photographs then instead...doh!

I'm going to have to find/reserve the energy as got some lovely underwear for underneath my dress, OH would be disappointed if I didn't and even more disappointed if he didn't get to take advantage of it lol would be a shame for it to go to waste!

Plus I really want to as will be a perfect way to end the day!

    No chance.

I was too busy being extremely drunk. As was MrMini.

We didn't actually manage the deed until we got on our Mini-Moon.

I suspect not as we are likely to be shattered and a wee bit tipsy! That said, we'll be at the hotel about 11.30 so not super late, and I'm hoping to wear a corset under the dress, and my OH LOVES corsets so it might be a fun end to the night!

We won't be, we haven't discussed it but I imagine we'll both be shattered.

Maybe (OH will want to, I'll be shattered) but more likely the next night once we're at our proper honeymoon hotel. Who knows?!

Don't know. It's not something we usually plan as such. OH will be as keen as usual, but if we've had a few drinks after a really long and emotional day I imagine I will be far too tired to be up for it!

We wouldn't normally after a night out but I hope we do on our wedding night. Depends on how long it takes getting out of the dress, removing 100 odd curby grips from my hair, quickly removing the spanx underwear and getting into something 'more comfortable'....it's starting to look unlikely ?

Not really sure. OH likes a drunken fumble whereas (most times) I'm a quality not quantity kinda girl. I know, I'm a weirdo...

OH seems to think we are going to have time during the day to sneak up for a quicky at some point!! I hope he is good at re-lacing my dress!!

Personally I think we will be too busy in the day & then too tired at the end of the evening so realisticly (sp) I think it will be the morning after Smiley smile

My OH has already told me he plans on enjoying the whole day & taking advantage of the "bride & groom don't pay for drinks" tradition....so it'll be a bit of fumble & then making up for it on the mini moon!!!

Wah ha ha!! I'd lose about 2 stone doing in my dress - it's so heavy it would be a hideous sweat fest!

Were usually sneaking off in the day people not last thing at night so Im guessing no. Maybe in the morning but then we may be too hungover. Though echoing others sentiments we are paying enough for the beautiful apartment its seems a shame not to. Especially as afternoon of next day we go back home and have his parents staying with us for 2 days. Id like a mini moon but his parents live abroad so he''ll want to spend time with them before they go home.

Im not worried about it though. Im sure we can fit in a fumble or two in somewhere! ?

There was no way we'd have managed it. It took me ages to un-pin my hair & H had to undo about 30 buttons on my dress-I was falling asleep during that.

SIL & her H managed it & told H & I at breakfast the next day (& the old man on the next table as she spoke too loudly).

I can see our wedding getting very boozy!

We have a lot of rugby friends / players coming so I doubt anything will happen that night and I can see me falling asleep with my dress still on.

Plenty of time to make up for it the next day though!
