I'm gonna go out on a limb here... While I wouldn't marry him (for a host of reasons beyond his not-washing habit), he doesn't look particularly dirty (certainly not as dirty as I imagined before clicking that link). I wonder if the skin rebalances itself (or some such hippy-dippiness). I wonder if he really does smell or if his skin provides an especially hostile environment to bugs and therefore, they don't grow and make nasty niffs?

This is all relative. When I talk about "nasty niffs", I mean "nasty-for-him niffs". I wonder if it's as bad as we imagine. And I've shared houses with dreadlocked-rock boys who looked dirtier....

Agree. But do you think he smells 7,000 times as bad as a dirty boy who hasn't showered for two days?

Ha ha, that actually made me laugh. No, he probably doesn't. I was just thinking about a bloke I used to work with who used to come to work occassionally on a Monday with clean hair and we'd see it get progressively greasier over the days. TBH he always smelled bad, just a lot worse by the end of the week!

There must be a maximum amout of stinkiness and this guy probably reached it years ago.

Aye, I think that would be true. And when that point was reached, when the grease and sweat and ash and mud passed a threshold of hot, dry, baked-on dirt, maybe it started to either:

    1. Set against his skin, providing an armour-like barrier against future dirtying.

    2. It started to flake off and his skin now rejects future dirtying.

Imagine running your fingernails down his arm/back.....ugh.

Footlong, apparently your body/hair cleanses itself after a while. Saying that, I'm sure he smells like a humdinger & I dread to think how badly his sporran area whiffs. He does have 7 children, so his wife must have bought countless pegs for her nose. ?

I have no sense of smell so I could be the perfect mate for him.

On the other other hand he is as old as my mother and I don't think she would be pleased if I bought him home ? And the kids wouldn't like it either!

Don't really care about the fact he hasn't washed, but this bothered me a little.

'I even threatened to stop sleeping with him but he is my husband so there was little I could do about it.'

So being married to someone means you have to put out regardless? I would never share a bed with H2B if he was unclean, and he wouldn't expect me too!
