would you use these as bridesmaid dresses?

sammi23, 28 July, 2011 at 08:35 Posted on Planning 0 31

Hi guys, my bridesmaid wil be 3 and 7! my theme is pink and white butterflies. i have come across these and think the will be cool enough if its a hot day but could easily wear a cardigan if its chilly, they can wear them after as long as they stay kinda clean and there not heavy very light.

do you think there tacky? there are some love heart sequins along the neck line what will be taken off....this is the only bit i really hate! could really do with your opinions!

thankyou xxxx

To be honest, I don't think they are suitable for a wedding. They look like beachwear. Not my cup of cha.

Personally no, I wouldn't use them, but then I'd never have anything pink or butterfly related.

I'd say they aren't traditional bridesmaid dresses, but if they fit your theme and the girls like them thats fine. But if I was a little flower girl I would want a 'proper' flower girl dress.

I agree with the general consensus. They are very pretty little dresses and my little niece would love them, but for normal wear, rather than a flower girl dress.

    Would I use them... no.

But if you like them and want to use them then do it, it is your wedding.

They are lovely dresses, and i can see why they would fit in with your theme! As others have said, they don't look like they should be in a wedding, but at the same time, i know i'll be choosing outfits for my flowergirls that they can wear again as at that age, it's always good to have a party dress! I think if they're going to fit with your overall theme, then why not!?

I would be inclined to agree with everyone else.

They might be better suited to an American kids' pageant (worn with too much make-up whilst twirling a stick and singing "Tomorrow" from the Annie soundtrack)

BUT, if that's what you want, then do it. You might think the dresses I picked were boring and plain but it's each to their own.

Personally.. I really don't like them, even as normal dresses.. but if you feel that they'll work well with your wedding then go for it. Don't let others sway your personal choice.

Not my thing either I'm afraid! There are loads of butterfly themed dresses on ebay for £10-25 so it might be worth taking a quick look.

No, I wouldn't, I'm afraid. I think they look cheaper than the price tag suggests. If I had a daughter I wouldn't want her to wear them. However, your wedding so if you like them, go for it.

They arent very nice sorry. There are some beautiful bridesmaid dresses out there for little girls it seems a shame to put them in what is essentially a beach dress and not a nice one at that!

Yes.. I agree.. this is not suitable for wedding.. Its look like a normal wear. I suggest u may wear wedding gown and groom can wear wedding waistcoat.
