Your last Supper!

(Claire), 15 May, 2012 at 15:30 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 21

If you could choose one last meal what would it be. Choose a starter, a main and a dessert.

I would have Scallops with black pudding, pancetta, and a cauliflower puree.

My main would be a lamb roast, with creamy mash potato, roast potatoes fluffy on the inside crispy on the outside, roasted parsnips and butter nut squash, with lashings of mint and onion sauce.

For dessert it would be sticky toffee pud with cream all the way! No raisins though!

Any possible combination of weed, speed, ecstasy, cocaine, heroin, magic mushrooms, microdots and Chablis. If I'm going out, I'm going out f*cking wasted.

What a decision to have to make!

    I think I'd go:

    Breaded camembert with cranberry sauce

Some kind of mexican dish, burrito, enchilada etc with sour cream and guacamole

Chocolate sundae, with vanilla ice cream, chocolate fudge sauce and all kinds of chocolatey bits.

    With champagne and diet coke

Starter- Simple but cheese heaven. Baked camembert with roasted garlic with red onion chutney and crusty bread.

Main- Roast beef, not just any old roast beed. Slow cooked so it's tender and i can still taste the blood. Roast spuds in goose fat. Really crispy and small. I like the crunchy burnt bits best. Yorkshire pudding how my Mum makes it. None of that 'light as air' puddings that come ready frozen. I like my yorkies to be nice and stodgy. Veggies, if i must. Finally gravy. Made with the beef juices. Ohhh yum!

Dessert- Gypsy tart with a dollop of vanilla cream.

There are too many foods in the world for me to make such choices!!

Unless I can have a 17 course meal... Also a good way to put off whatever is going to happen to make it be my last meal. Though at 17 courses, that's probably a heart attack.

I've been discussing this with H for the last hour. Icant get a definite 3 course menu too narrow. I would need,

A selection of tapas, including chorizo in red wine, gambas pi pi, spanish tortilla, the lovely fresh bread dipped in all the garlicy oils and mokfish wrapped in parma ham.

    Chinese Crispy duck and pancakes.

Fillet steak with blue cheese melted on top with a big grilled tomato and a few home made chips and an onion ring.

Desert is easy. New york vanilla cheese cake with fresh rasperries next to it, some double pouring cream and grated green and blacks dark chocolate on top.

Oh and a very dry prosecco plus a jug of iced water.
