Your perfume on the day - what are you wearing?

I don't normally wear perfume but took a lovely rose one with me to the venue. Completely forgot to put it on though, so I smelt of sunscreen!

I'm actually trialling (is that even a word??) different perfumes this week, seeing which ones hold their smell but aren't too overpowering etc.

I find certain perfumes give me a headache so will probably stick with one I already have to be safe.

I've been discussing this with a colleague this morning, I'm going to buy a new perfume for the day. I want something clasic so was thinking maybe Chanel x

That's not a bad thing to smell of. I love the smell of sunscreen - reminds me of good holidays :-) x

I found it so hard to decide. After smelling a few they all smelt the same :-(

I liked vera wang rock princess (I think that was the one), but it was limited edition and they ran out of bottles in my local debenhams

Chanel coco mademoiselle for me. It's my fave!! I wear it a lot, although it is so expensive I've been wearing it less recently, saving it for special ocassions/nights out etc. It is strong enough to last and IMHO is a "classic" smell. I love it!!! It even smells good "stale" IYNWIM....all my coats/jackets smell of it cos it rubs off my neck on to them!

OH is going to buy me a "gift set" with body lotion etc so I can layer it up and it will really last

Not sure about this one - I do love Euphoria by Calvin Klein, but its quite heavy. Some prefumes make me feel sick so I will have to trial some I think!

Best thing to do is buy the set with the shower gel and body spray with it, as that will make the scent last longer on the day.

I think getting a different scent will be special and if I take it on honeymoon the smell will remind me of the wedding and honeymoon whenever I smell it!

WILL YOU LOT STOP GIVING ME MORE THINGS I HAVE TO CONSIDER?! ?

I've spent so much time thinking about what I'm going to look like and what everything else will look like that I'd not even considered how I was going to smell other than clean!

LOL. It is never ending. I kjeep thinking of extra bits I need to think about and sort out. My head is full of ideas. Will be glad when it is all sorted. ? All part of the fun though. x

Chanel No5 for me

I was convinced my perfume for the big day would be Vera Wang Princess, but then on a hat shopping mission with my Mum we started randomly squirting perfume and I've now settled on Lola by Marc Jacobs.....seeing as it's my nickname at work too I felt it quite apt! Hehe! x

You're right, Chez! It's all good fun but seemingly never ending and often overwhelming. Thankfully I'm quite laid back about it.

At the moment, anyway...

I am wondering this. I know a lot of people buy their 'wedding scent' - I don't know if it is so that they smell all shiny and new and different! But I wasn't planning on getting anything new cos of £. My favourite is hugo boss woman, but don't know if that is too 'normal' I like chanel no 5 and have this, but then don't know if that is too strong for me. Hmmmmmmmm. Will probably forget too like flutterbye!

I'm going to be wearing Vera Wang princess, it's a gorgeous fragrance and OH bought it for me so it is even more special.

I think I will probably wear Emporio Armani 'White' as I know my H2B loves the smell of it on me and I love the freshness.

I was thinking of buying him 'Boss' by Hugo Boss as his morning gift when he's getting ready at his parents. Ummm the smell ?

My fave scent is Channel CoCo Madomoselle and I really want to wear it on our big day. OH got me a huge bottle for Valentines day but I have stopped wearing it so that it smells truly fab on our wedding day. I hope it doesn't go off - I should think about that! haha

Im having marc jacobs daisy , its so fresh but still has a heady quality to it . i got the eau de parfum so it will last all day .

I'll probably wear my usual perfume at the time, which will mostly likely be a Gucci one - they just seem to suit me. My favourite at the moment is Flora, a lovely vintagey floral that's not too girly.

I'm with you on the 'Boss' by Hugo Boss.....gets me every time! Mmmmmm! x

I currently have it narrowed down to 3!

1) Body shop morracan rose (my current everyday perfume of choice)

2) Issey Miyake (my perfume for going to special things and OHs front runner for me to wear on the day)

3) If I go for a new sent it is the new clarins one called eau des jardins

I havent really thought about it either! But my favourite perfume is Pure Poison Christian Dior and Daisy by Marc Jacob so might wear either of those

I hadn't thought about it , but as I'm allergic to most perfumes I think I will probably just wear my fave, Escada Ocean Lounge, or if I decide to go more sophisticated, then I have G by Giorgio Beverly Hills.

Either Miss Cherie Dior or Pure Poison, although the name of this one doesnt seem quite right to wear!

I'm wearing Lancome Miracle, it's the perfume I used to wear when we first met.

well i got a gift of eternity perfume for doing BM for my friend last year...I only got it recently but thats another story...lol. I havent opened it yet and Im thinking of wearing it! Its lovely and I think "eternity" is a good one for a wedding! I have a few wee cheepy ones open at the mo, so using them up 1st! Might also buy vera wang princess... Thinking eternity at the mo tho!!

I wear Lacoste Touch of Pink or Christina Aguilera to work on a daily basis so would like something different... will have to go perfume shopping now!!!

Without a doubt for me it will have to be coco chanel mademoiselle. It was what I was wearing for my first date with my H2B 3 years ago!?

I'm going to try some Jo Malone scents, there are some that sound amazing.

I want to wear something different on the day than anything I usually wear, because I associate smells & memories really strongly. So I want to wear something on the day that, when I wear it again, I will remember our wedding day ?

I'm not sure yet, I have a few I like but i was thinking about asking OH to pick one and I will get him the gents fragrance to match.

Have been thinking about this for a while now but been putting it off. Will have to take my lil ones into town with me tomorrow to try and find a new one. Always wanted to buy something new so when I wear it, it would remind me of our special day.
