A few years ago that was the way it was always done at a registry office and its only in recent years that registry offices have embraced the "keeping separate" tradition.

( when I say recent I have been shooting weddings a long time and my recent is 10-15 years ) Smiley xd - I started young at 20 !

Years ago I remember a few times where both guest and bride and groom have been milling around together in the waiting room for the wedding ahead to clear out before they could go in.

But as always - its your wedding and "you do you "

    You do you!

My OH and I turned up at the church together and walked down the aisle together because Covid rules meant neither of us could get within 2 metres of anyone else!

One of the few good things to come out of the pandemic is that it's shaken up so many of the old rules and traditions around weddings, so there is much more freedom. (It's always been possible to ignore the traditions anyway, it's just become a lot less shocking to do so now!)

    You do you.
My friends arrived together as they said "we live together, have a child together so we'll walk in together" and I though yes! It's your wedding so do it your way. Traditions change all the time anyway like someone already said.
You're going there to make a promise to each other together so how you arrive there is up to you guys xx
