Has anyone got a black cab to their wedding!?
I’m not that fussed about cars and it seems like a good way of shaving a few £££’s off the budget, especially as we are having the ceremony and reception in one place.

I'm just getting a taxi, then drive with OH in our car to the reception. I love the idea of driving around like normal in a wedding dress, lol
Where abouts are you?
Where are you getting married?
I'm from Crewe (20 miles away)
getting married in Chester at the Abode Hotel!
I'm getting married at Belle Epoque in Knutsford -cant wait!
This!
We have everything at the same place too as i didnt want to spend £100's getting a car to the venue. Personally i think its a waste so a Black Cab is a good compromise.
WELL I NEVER! That's where i am getting married ? Mantax is an option then. what date you getting married?? xx
Everyone will be in the village hall when I arrive and I'll probably be the last on the dance floor so cars are a complete waste of money. One black cab for my son and I, one for the BM's. Job's a good 'un!
Can you send me the details for the taxi in Manchester please thank you
Small world!!
We are getting maried on the 1st August next year!!
I think some taxi firms will ensure the cab is clean if you book it in advance, I know my sister in law booked a black cab a week before so they cleaned it and even stuck a white ribbon on it for her, plus you dont want bits of last nights kebab on the hem of your dress do you ?
I went for a white wedding cab with ribbons etc. like a lot here didn't feel the need tp spend hundreds on a vintage car that nobody would really see as I got married all at one venue!
Crashing in on the Cheshire Brides here if you don't mind!
I am in Crewe too, August 31st 2013 for me tho.
We are having our Reception at The Windmill, Tabley
Oh and a cab sounds excellent btw!
We are doing it in London...So we are !
I can't bring myself to pay out that kind of money for 15 minutes either.
Go for it!!!
Good luck xx
I think a black cab is a great idea, our church is only a 10min drive from our (potential) venue, we're hoping to ask our neighbour, who has a vintage car to drive me to the church, then drive us to the reception. But i was thinking of hiring a couple of black cabs to take the rest of the wedding party.
Go fot it, i think it will look great in pics x
Why not, my cousin brother went to his wedding by taking bus with the his parents, families and best man
I think I am going to go down the luxury taxi route.
My ceremony and reception is in one place so noone will really see me turn up.
I am trying to cut costs as much as possible so that I can spend it in other places. I can't justify spending £4oo+ on a car which noone will see.
I think a shiny black cab will be brilliant, especially as there will be plenty of room for your dress!
I'm 5th of October. it's a lovely venue and so intimate. i can't wait for my guests to see it.
