Bridesmaid Dress for one Bridesmaid only!

If it's just one bridesmaid and you are having a multicoloured wedding theme, why not just let her choose her own dress? I knew someone who had five colours for their wedding, so they just told the bridesmaids to pick any floor length dress in one of those colours - and they all looked stunning!

Unless you are having a very formal wedding, then any bridesmaid-type dress is going to make it obvious that she's a bridesmaid.

I think the beauty of this is that you can literally choose whatever you both like when you go shopping. No colour restrictions, no trying to match with others, you can pick anything x

My bridesmaid says she'll wear whatever I want her to wear so I think maybe we just need to go shopping and see what we can find! At least when you have a specific colour theme you know where to start!

I've just one bridesmaid so we went shopping and I let her pick the colour and style she wanted. We went to somewhere with a massive selection so there was a big variety to consider. She found it difficult having so much freedom but I wanted her to be comfortable and pick something she felt like herself in. Much like a wedding dress, when she put the right dress on we both knew it was perfect. I've tweaked the bouquets slightly so the colour scheme and style tie in with her dress and couldn't be more pleased.

I've just seen this thread and feel reassured there are other people with just one bridesmaid too. I am also getting married June 2022.

Can I ask if you're doing anything different with who walks down the aisle (i don't have any page boys or flower girls either) or photo set ups?

To be honest I haven't really thought about it!! I think there's probably a lot we haven't thought about yet...

I think she'll just have to walk down the aisle on her own?! We're not planning on having too many formal photos if we can help it. The families are a bit moany about this so we'll just make sure we get some with the family. My partner only has two bestmen/ushers as well so we'll probably have a photo with them but I don't think we'll have anything in particular planned.
