Who’s paying for bridesmaids dresses, you or your bridesmaids? I’m torn on who should pay for them. I said I thought I should pay for them but my family seems to think that falls to the bridesmaids?. I don’t want to seem rude by asking for them to pay if this isn’t the done thing. X

    I'm having my two neices as bridesmaids. When I asked them my sister said she would pay for their dresses. I also thought the bride pays for them. My sister and I agreed we would by one each. I got their shoes and accessories for them. This is a good arrangement for us.
    I've been a bridesmaid twice and I didn't pay for the dresses. I was bridesmaid for my sisters. For one of my sisters weddings we wore hired dresses and the other one my sister wanted to get dresses made.
