Hi Brides,

How are you all? I am looking for places in person I can try on wedding dresses £500 and under. We have a tight budget for our wedding as we've just bought a house and are renovating it which is setting us back a huge amount.
So I really want to cut costs on my wedding. Does anyone know of places in the UK that specialise in dresses under £500 or where its easy to find one.

Wed2be are normally under 600, or look for clearance warehouses that dined of life me. Or there are Oxfam bridal shops that have some really cheap ones, some new and some 2nd hand but good quality

Try ringing round local boutiques. I found a couple that had several dresses each under £500. Also, it would be worth considering bridesmaid dresses - many of them are also available in white/ivory.
You could also look at high street stores, many of which have wedding ranges. E.g. Monsoon, and I think Next, also John Lewis. Once you know what silhouette suits you, you could also buy something online. I got my dress mail order for under £300

I would try wed2be if you want to try dresses on mine was from amazon everpretty for under £100 if you prefer not to try on x💗

Red cross have wedding dress shops, I'm not even on a tight budget but I don't understand the want to spend hige amounts of money on a dress you wear once. Also second hand means less CO2! Xxx

If you don't mind second hand I got mine from oxfam for £125. There are oxfam bridal shops dotted about, we have one in kingston and Southampton. You would have no idea that it's second hand!

Sorry on holiday returns was good but watch the sizing im a size 18 to 20 my dress came back about a size 30 so needed altering but cant moan about the quality its lovely but its your choice x hope you find what you want x💗

Monsoon and ASOS - I appreciate you can’t try asos on before purchasing but you can always send it back ! If you managed to find a dress you like in a salon you can try vinted or eBay (I got a dress for £200 that’s been dry cleaned and is immaculate ) xx good luck xx

There are so many boutiques that have sales but don't put notices (or I just Dont see them) so I would ring around or see if there are any wedding shows around you. They normally have decent discounts

Wed2Be is good. I ended up going to a bridal shop in town and found mine. You could always look in nearby bridal shops and let them know your budget before hand and I’m sure they’ll have plenty dresses! Mine is £400
