Ceremony Day Make Up

I'd like to get some help for hair and make up on our registration day that starts at 10 am, which is going to be 20 mins and then lunch with family after. When I inquire should I be asking for bridal make up? Or special occasion? I'll wear a somewhat formal white dress, but nothing bridal. It just that most bridal make up also has a minimum, and I'm not going to even have bridesmaids or friends attending. Thought about doing it myself, but I don't usually wear makeup so rather have someone help me out if that's possible.

    I guess you should tell them it is a wedding but you don't want full on bridal. If it is just you then you may be better looking at MUA that is not specialist bridal as often they have a minimum charge and if it is a Saturday they may not take a booking for just one person. I would ring round a few you like and see what they say

    I'd considering just asking for makeup for a 'special occasion'. I found that as soon as suppliers hear the word 'wedding', they whack a huge amount onto the bill. E.g. when I was looking for quotes for hair, I got quoted £20-£30 for a simple updo as 'bridesmaid' and £90 plus for the identical hairstyle as 'bride'. Same with the cake. £30 for a plain cake with plain white icing when they thought it was just a party - £70 for exactly the same cake for a wedding!

    Thank you all! I've used special occasion make up for my search and gets much better search results and responses more aligned to what I was looking for! I didn't tell them that this is for the registration I feel like it might complicate the discussion 😬 decided to do my own hair with simple pony tails with cute accessories and I should be all set 🥰

    My wedding is at 11am with lunch after. Reguste office wedding.
    I have asked if I could have hair and make up as special occasion and the lady agreed. So it's worth finding out. It's saving me so much money x
